Randomized Controlled TrialAn effective treatment option for pain caused by urolithiasis: A randomized-controlled trial of local active warming with heat-patch.
There is growing interest in physical medicine treatment options for renal colic. In this study, we aimed to determine whether or not heat-patch treatment with no drug was effective in relieving renal colic. ⋯ As non-pharmaceutical treatment, the heat-patch has been shown to be a possible candidate for pain relief in patients with urolithiasis. Further research should concentrate on multicentre and large scale randomised studies.

Optimal delivery timing for twin pregnancies: a population based retrospective cohort study.
The optimal timing of delivery for twin pregnancies remains controversial. This study examined the risks of adverse neonatal outcomes and neonatal deaths according to gestational age at delivery in order to determine the optimal gestational age of delivery for twin pregnancies. ⋯ The optimal timing for twin delivery appears to be at 38 weeks of gestation, although individual maternal, foetal, and pregnancy characteristics should be considered when determining the best timing for delivery.

The Effect of Prolonged PCR Positivity on Patient Outcomes and Determination of Isolation Period in COVID-19 Patients.
The impact of ongoing PCR positivity on COVID-19 patients and the strategy and period of isolation were not fully understood. We aimed to investigate the factors that cause prolonged PCR positivity and its clinical impact on COVID-19 infection. In addition, we searched for an answer on what length of time would be best for isolation. ⋯ We found that ongoing PCR positivity has no detrimental effect on the course of the disease and clinical outcomes in COVID-19 patients. In addition, our results showed that isolation may be discontinued 10-14 days after symptom onset and/or after 2-5 days after resolution of symptoms. This results also support WHO and ECDC recommendations on this matter.

Association of gonadal hormones and sex hormone binding globulin with risk of diabetes: a cohort study in middle-aged and elderly males.
Late-onset hypogonadism in men is related to the development of diabetes. The association of gonadal hormones, sex hormone binding globulin with diabetes has been studied in various studies. However, there is no cohort study on the relationship between gonadal hormone, sex hormone binding globulin and diabetes in Chinese. We aimed to provide an insight into the possible association in middle-aged and elderly Chinese males. ⋯ Compared with gonadal hormones, a lower level of SHBG is independently associated with the risk of diabetes in middle-aged and elderly Chinese males.
