The new coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) that emerged at the end of 2019 was stated in China and infected millions of people around the world, with the highest spread rate amongst humans compared with other coronaviruses. This paper aimed to review and analyse the published studies about COVID-19 diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. ⋯ Nature of COVID-19 is still not very clear, however, management of the condition is similar to the previous attacks of coronaviruses.

Review Meta AnalysisComparison of the Effect of Educational and Self-Management Interventions on Adherence to Treatment in Hemodialysis Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.
Adherence to fluid intake, diet, and drug management is very important in hemodialysis patients. Educational and self-management interventions are frequently used to improve adherence to treatment in hemodialysis patients. ⋯ The analysis shows that educational and self-management interventions had a beneficial effect on adherence to fluid intake, diet, and drug management and no difference between these interventions. Therefore, these interventions can be used by healthcare professionals. It is also recommended that these interventions be well defined and transferable to routine clinical practice.

Transcutaneous Near Infra-Red Spectroscopy (NIRS) for monitoring kidney and liver allograft perfusion.
The use of transcutaneous near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) for monitoring the perfusion of kidney and liver allografts has been proposed in the last years. This device might detect an early decrease in allograft oxygenation allowing prompt detection of vascular complications. ⋯ Preliminary studies have related NIRS monitoring to kidney and liver allograft perfusion, both in adults and children. Further investigation is needed to establish the normal range of NIRS values and the factors influencing NIRS monitoring.

Meta AnalysisDexmedetomidine versus fentanyl as adjuvants to ropivacaine for epidural anesthesia:a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have evaluated the use of dexmedetomidine versus fentanyl as adjuvants to ropivacaine for epidural anaesthesia, yet the results are conflicting. We aimed to conduct this meta-analysis to assess the effects and safety of dexmedetomidine and fentanyl as adjuvants to ropivacaine for epidural anaesthesia. ⋯ Dexmedetomidine is better than fentanyl as adjuvant to ropivacaine for epidural anaesthesia with better effects and less adverse events.
