Meta AnalysisDiagnostic value of NPTX2 (neuronal pentraxin II) methylation in patients with pancreatic cancer: meta-analysis.
Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a devasting disease of which mortality almost parallels its incidence. PC tissue may express aberrantly methylated neuronal pentraxin II (NPTX2), but it is unclear what the consequences of this are. ⋯ NPTX2 methylation could serve as a promising molecular biomarker for pancreatic cancer diagnosis, for its high diagnostic value in differentiating pancreatic cancer from benign pancreatic disease with the lab method. The variable sensitivity of methylated NPTX2 was multifactorial, and it must be promoted before applied as screening test in clinical practice. Furthermore, experiments on methylated NPTX2 were needed to expanded for lower the heterogeneity.

The efficacy and reliability of VI-RADS in determining candidates for repeated transurethral resection in patients with high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
Our study aims to evaluate the efficiency and reliability of Vesical Imaging Reporting Data System (VI-RADS) in prospectively identifying the patients to undergo RE-TURBT in the management of patients with high-risk non-muscle invasive Bladder Cancer(HR-NMIBC).The secondary objective was to evaluate the performance of the VI-RADS scoring system in differentiating between muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC) prospectively. ⋯ The VI-RADS scoring system is an effective and reliable method in determining the patients who will undergo RE-TURBT and in differentiating MIBC and NMIBC.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffectiveness of kinesiotaping in pregnant women with sacroiliac joint pain: A randomised controlled study.
Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction is an especially common cause of pain during pregnancy. Treatment options during pregnancy are very limited in order to reduce pain and increase the quality of life. We aimed to determine the efficacy of kinesiotaping (KT) in the treatment of SIJ pain in pregnant women. ⋯ KT treatment improved the pain levels, functioning and quality of life among pregnant women with SIJ pain.

Meta AnalysisThe effect of soy products on circulating adiponectin and leptin concentration in adults: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Human clinical trials that have investigated the effect of soy product consumption on adipokines have reported inconsistent results. Our objective was to elucidate the role of soy product consumption on adiponectin and leptin in adults through a systematic review and meta-analysis of available randomised placebo-controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ The present systematic review and meta-analysis suggest that soy product consumption had no significant effect on leptin and adiponectin levels in adults. However, future larger and well-designed trials are still needed to further explore this research area and to address the heterogeneous study design used in the existing literature.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyComparison of Transcutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (TTNS) Protocols for Women with Refractory Overactive Bladder (OAB): a Prospective Randomized Trial.
Transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (TTNS) is a noninvasive method used in OAB treatment. Purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of the TTNS procedure applied once a week and three times a week in women diagnosed with wet type refractory OAB. ⋯ TTNS can be safely used before invasive treatments in resistant OAB. TTNS procedure three times a week seems more effective than performing it once a week. What's known TTNS is one of the effective alternative treatments in resistant OAB treatment. What's new As the number of sessions is increased in TTNS treatment, the success of the treatment can increase.
