Emergency laparoscopy for suspected ovarian torsion: are we too hasty to operate?
To reevaluate the rate of correct diagnosis of ovarian torsion (OT) in our department. ⋯ Despite 20 years of research, the accuracy of the preoperative diagnosis of OT remains low. The urge to operate can be attributed to the importance of preserving ovarian function in young women as well as to the availability and the low associated complication rate of laparoscopy.

Effects of metoclopramide-induced hyperprolactinemia on the prolactin receptor of murine endometrium.
To evaluate the effects of metoclopramide-induced hyperprolactinemia on the prolactin receptor of murine endometrium. ⋯ Our results suggest that replacement of estrogen and progestin may not increase the mRNA of endometrial PRL receptor in metoclopromide-induced hyperprolactinemia in rats after castration.

Comparative StudyEffect of pentoxifylline on vascular endothelial growth factor C and flk-1 expression on endometrial implants in the rat endometriosis model.
To investigate the effects of pentoxifylline, on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-C and flk-1 expression in the rat endometriosis model. ⋯ Pentoxifylline may cause suppression of endometriotic lesions by suppressing angiogenesis through VEGF-C and flk-1 expression.
