Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical TrialLignocaine aerosol spray in outpatient hysteroscopy: a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial.
To assess the efficacy of lignocaine spray during outpatient hysteroscopy in reducing the need for additional anesthesia and reducing the discomfort of the procedure. ⋯ Lignocaine spray has beneficial effects on cervical but not uterine sensation. Pretreatment with either lignocaine or placebo seems to reduce the need for additional intracervical anesthesia during hysteroscopy.

Case ReportsLaparoscopic-assisted transvaginal metroplasty for the treatment of bicornuate uterus: a case study.
To introduce a combined laparovaginal metroplasty approach to the treatment of bicornuate uterus. ⋯ Laparoscopic-assisted transvaginal metroplasty is a logical and useful minimally invasive alternative to laparotomy for the treatment of symptomatic bicornuate uterus and has potential utility for the treatment of complicated septate uterus and the correction of uterine perforation not amenable to laparoscopic suturing occurring during hysteroscopic septal resection.

Endometriosis and pelvic pain: relation to disease stage and localization.
To determine whether prevalence and severity of pain symptoms are related to endometriosis stage and site, with particular reference to deep infiltrating vaginal lesions. ⋯ Endometriosis stage in the current classification was not related consistently to pain symptoms. The presence of vaginal lesions was associated frequently with severe deep dyspareunia. Dysmenorrhea and nonmenstrual pelvic pain were assessed with equal accuracy by a linear analog and a multidimensional scale.

Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical TrialFollicular fluid levels of midazolam, fentanyl, and alfentanil during transvaginal oocyte retrieval.
To investigate the time course of changes in follicular fluid (FF) concentrations of midazolam (Roche Products Ltd., Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom), fentanyl (Janssen Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Wantage, United Kingdom), and alfentanil (Janssen Pharmaceuticals Ltd.) during ultrasound-guided transvaginal oocyte collection. ⋯ We conclude that midazolam, fentanyl, and alfentanil are found in FF after a single IV dose, but further investigation needs to be undertaken to investigate any potential influence on fertilization and implantation rates.
