Oncocytomas are uncommon tumours that occur in a number of specific anatomical locations within the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis. When occurring in the retroperitoneum, oncocytomas almost always arise from either the kidney or adrenal gland. With this case we present the imaging findings of an exceptionally rare retroperitoneal oncocytoma whose site of origin is neither the kidney nor adrenal gland.

We present an 80-year-old man with multiple medical problems, and acute abdominal pain with feculent emesis. An unenhanced CT examination of the abdomen and pelvis demonstrated jejunal diverticulitis and findings of high-grade small bowel obstruction caused by a large enterolith. ⋯ This phenomenon has occasionally been reported in the surgical and gastroenterology literature. We highlight the CT findings associated with enterolith ileus in the setting of jejunal diverticulitis, to alert radiologists to this unusual diagnosis.

The prompt identification of children in whom enema reduction of intussusception might fail and surgery is necessary is crucial in order to avoid futile repeat attempts and untoward complications. The purpose of this retrospective review was to determine whether air encircling the intussusceptum in the small bowel during air enema for intussusception reduction could serve as an indication for operation rather than repeat attempts at radiological reduction. ⋯ In the presence of air encircling the intussusceptum in the distal small bowel on air enema, delayed repeated attempts for intussusception reduction are unlikely to succeed, and surgery is indicated.

Lymphocutaneous fistulas with intractable lymphatic leakage represent a serious clinical condition leading to a severe impairment of quality of life for the affected patients. To date, no adequate diagnostic imaging modality is in existence to allow selection of the correct treatment option. The aim of this study was to perform a pre-therapeutic evaluation of the lymphatic system in patients with lymphocutaneous fistulas by magnetic resonance lymphangiography (MRL). ⋯ MRL is a safe and accurate imaging modality for a comprehensive evaluation of the lymphatic system in patients suffering from lymphocutaneous fistulas.
