Comparative StudyCorticocancellous bone graft vs cancellous bone graft for the management of unstable scaphoid nonunion.
This study was undertaken to determine whether corticocancellous bone grafting and cancellous bone grafting differ in terms of bone union rate, restoration of scaphoid anatomy, and wrist function when unstable scaphoid nonunions are concomitantly treated by screw fixation. ⋯ Prognostic, III.

Meta Analysis Comparative StudyComplications following open reduction and internal fixation versus external fixation in treating unstable distal radius fractures: Grading the evidence through a meta-analysis.
The common fixation techniques for unstable distal radius fractures include open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with plates and closed reduction and external fixation (EF). There is controversy over the choice of surgical approach in treating unstable distal radius fractures. ⋯ Level II: low-powered prospective randomized trial meta-analysis.

Comparative Study Observational StudyChronic anterior shoulder instability with significant Hill-Sachs lesion: Arthroscopic Bankart with remplissage versus open Latarjet procedure.
The objective of this study was to compare short-term shoulder stability after arthroscopic Bankart repair with remplissage versus the open Latarjet procedure in patients who had chronic anterior shoulder instability with a significant Hill-Sachs lesion. ⋯ III; comparative retrospective study.

Digit tourniquets are widely used in the operating room and even more often in the emergency department to allow the exploration of injuries. A rolled surgical glove finger or silicone catheter placed at the base of the digit is a common method. However, rolled glove tourniquets are easily forgotten under the dressing and may then cause ischemia, which may require amputation. Silicone catheters are expensive single-use devices that may fail to provide effective exsanguination and must be removed by cutting, which may result in skin lesions. The ForgetMeNot® digit tourniquet (Arex, Palaiseau, France) was designed to overcome these drawbacks. The objective of this study was to assess the use of ForgetMeNot® in our clinical practice. ⋯ III, retrospective uncontrolled study.

Comparative StudyTreatment of intra-articular fracture of distal radius fractures with fluoroscopic only or combined with arthroscopic control: A prospective tomodensitometric comparative study of 40 patients.
Considering articular distal radius fractures treated with volar plate, we hypothesized that articular radio-carpal displacement was better reduced with arthroscopic control than with only fluoroscopic control. ⋯ Level 3.
