Comparative StudyInfluence of coronal bowing on the lower alignment and the positioning of component in navigation and conventional total knee arthroplasty.
Coronal alignment is an important factor for the function and longevity of total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Coronal bowing of the lower extremity is common among Asians and it may pose a risk for malalignment of the lower leg and malposition of component. ⋯ Level II, comparative prospective study.

Comparative StudyOpen reduction internal fixation versus percutaneous iliosacral screw fixation for unstable posterior pelvic ring disruptions.
Surgical stabilization of posterior pelvic ring fractures can be achieved by either open or closed methods. They all provide a comparable biomechanical stability. The aim of the present study is to compare the clinical results of both techniques for treating posterior pelvic ring injuries. ⋯ Level 4.

Comparative StudyComparative study on the treatment of Rockwood type III acute acromioclavicular dislocation: Clinical results from the TightRope® technique vs. K-wire fixation.
The aim of this study was to address the inconsistency regarding the operative treatment of Rockwood type III acromioclavicular joint separation. We compared results after single- and double TightRope® reduction with results after acromioclavicular transfixation via K-wires only and additional ligament augmentation in acute acromioclavicular (AC) joint separations graded Rockwood type III, and hypothesized that the TightRope® technique leads to better clinical and radiological results. ⋯ IV.

A new angle and its relationship with early fixation failure of femoral neck fractures treated with three cannulated compression screws.
The Pauwels angle has been used widely, however an accurate evaluation of this angle is difficult because of deformity of the affected lower extremity. Therefore we designed a new measurement of the orientation of femoral neck fracture and applied this in a retrospective study to assess: (1) its reproducibility, (2) its advantages compared with the Pauwels angle, (3) its relationship with the short-term prognosis treated with three cannulated compression screws. ⋯ Level IV, retrospective diagnostic study.

Predictors of radial nerve palsy recovery in humeral shaft fractures: A retrospective review of 17 patients.
Radial nerve injury is common in humeral shaft fractures and fails to recover spontaneously in 30% of cases. Few studies have evaluated predictors of recovery. The objectives of this study were to identify predictors of radial nerve palsy recovery and to assess the usefulness of surgical radial nerve exploration in patients with preoperative radial nerve palsy. ⋯ IV, retrospective study with no control group.
