Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Comparative study on the efficacy of pregabalin versus limaprost in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis: A prospective, randomized controlled trial.
Patients with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) typically complain of back pain and leg pain. These symptoms reduce the quality of life (QoL) and also cause sleep disturbances. This study compares pregabalin and limaprost's efficacy in LSS for pain, disability, QoL, and sleep, aiming to offer insights for medication selection. ⋯ Efficacy of pregabalin, limaprost in back and leg pain, ODI, EQ-5D, and sleep quality, but there was no significant difference between the 2 groups. Thus, it is advisable to prescribe based on individual drug responses and potential complications.

Review Case Reports
Brain metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer after disease-free survival of 5 years: case series and comprehensive literature review.
In the treatment of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a disease-free survival of 5 years is a criterion for cure. This study aimed to evaluate the characteristics and outcomes of patients with brain metastases of NSCLC after a disease-free survival of 5 years (late recurrent brain metastasis [LRBM]). ⋯ LRBM is rare in patients with NSCLC. In our institution, many of these patients harbored driver gene mutations, and achieved long-term survival with aggressive local therapy. Multicenter analysis is mandatory.

Meta Analysis
What are the risk factors for residual pain after percutaneous vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty? A meta-analysis.
Although many risk factors for residual pain following percutaneous vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty (PVP or PKP) have been reported in many studies, research methods and cohorts differ greatly. A previous meta-analysis identified patient- and operation-specific risk factors for residual pain. This study aimed to examine the available data and identify significant risk factors for residual pain after PVP or PKP. ⋯ In this meta-analysis, we identified several significant risk factors for residual pain after PVP or PKP. These findings may be helpful for patient counseling and surgical planning.

Diffuse midline gliomas (DMGs) encompass a set of tumors, and those tumors with H3K27 M mutation carry a poor prognosis. In recent years, machine learning (ML)-based radiomics have shown promising results in predicting gene mutation status non-invasively. Therefore, this study aims to comprehensively evaluate the diagnostic performance of ML-based magnetic resonance imaging radiomics in predicting H3K27 M mutation status in DMG patients. ⋯ Non-invasive prediction of H3K27 M mutation status in patients with DMGs using magnetic resonance imaging radiomics is a promising tool with good diagnostic performance. However, the pooled metrics had a wide confidence interval, which required further studies to enhance ML algorithms' accuracy and facilitate their integration into daily clinical practice.

This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the literature on hydrogel therapy for spinal cord injury to visualize the research status, identify hotspots, and explore the development trends in this field. ⋯ In summary, this study provided a comprehensive analysis of the current research status and frontiers of hydrogel therapy for spinal cord injury. The findings provide a foundation for future research and clinical translation efforts of hydrogel therapy in this field.
