This study analysed the characteristics and outcome of the patients with bilateral germ testicular cell cancer (TC), especially synchronous. ⋯ Bilateral TC is a rare and requires individualized management of patients (Tab. 5, Fig. 4, Ref. 32).

Seven dioxaborole compounds are investigated in this study. Structural and spectral characterization is done at M062X/6-31+G(d,p) level in the water. Active sites of these compounds are determined using molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) maps. Electrophilic and nucleophilic attack regions are determined. ⋯ Since SARS-CoV-2 is a worldwide health problem, anti-viral properties of studied boron-containing compounds were investigated by molecular docking calculations. In addition to these calculations, MM/PSBA calculations were performed. It was found that boron compounds can be good drug candidate against SARS-CoV-2 and the best compound is ((R)-1-((S)-3-(4-(aminomethyl)phenyl)-2-benzamidopropanamido)-4-guanidinobutyl)boronic acid (C26) (Tab. 2, Fig. 6, Ref. 29). Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 and 2 in patients with chronic maxillary sinusitis.
Chronic sinusitis can result from variable types of immune-mediated process, whose pathogenesis is not fully understood. Triggering receptors expressed on myeloid cells 1 and 2 (TREM-1, TREM-2) are involved in myeloid cell activation enabling these cells to fine-tune the inflammatory response, which may have an impact on subsequent adaptive immunity and may be the key factor in pathogenesis. The aim of the study was to analyse soluble TREM-1 and TREM-2 molecules in maxillary sinus lavage fluid and compare the defined subgroups selected from patients with chronic sinusitis with/without nasal polyps and allergy (asthma and allergic rhinitis). ⋯ Our results suggest the role of TREM-2‑mediated activation of myeloid cells in chronic sinusitis accompanied by allergy, asthma, and allergic rhinitis (Tab. 6, Ref. 25).

Biopharmaceuticals improved the prognosis and quality of life of patients with chronic diseases. The aim of our study was to analyse the total reported suspected adverse drug reactions (ADR) and ADRs of reference biologicals and their biosimilars in Slovakia. ⋯ We did not find any evidence of increased risks associated with biosimilars compared to reference biologics. The spontaneous reporting system represents an inexpensive tool of reporting ADRs and should be utilized more frequently by health professionals, but even more importantly, by patients (Tab. 3, Fig. 2, Ref. 30). The aim was to investigate the improvement properties of apocynin and its potential mechanism on diabetes-associated cognitive decline. ⋯ Our results have shown that apocynin may be a valid therapeutic agent against DACD via modulation of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptosis (Tab. 1, Fig. 18, Ref. 35).
