To identify risk factors for unilateral non-acute subdural hematomas NASH recurrence, as well as to perform volumetric quantitative analysis of hematoma, postoperative pneumocephalus and extent of hematoma evacuation. ⋯ Pre- and postoperative volumetric evaluations, of patients with NASH, particularly the measurements of preoperative hematoma volume and postoperative volume of hematoma cavity and pneumocephalus have a potential to improve the prediction of clinically significant recurrence (Tab. 6, Fig. 3, Ref. 51). Determining the mean deviation between estimated fetal weight (EFW) measured by ultrasound biometry and the real final birth weight and defining the factors influencing the accuracy of weight estimation. ⋯ The time interval between sonographic weight estimation and delivery (shorter than 7 days), maternal BMI over 30 kg/m2, maternal age, neonatal weight and length are all factors significantly associated with the accuracy of ultrasound-based fetal weight estimation (Tab. 2, Ref. 13). Text in PDF www.elis.sk Keywords: ultrasound, biometry, fetal weight estimation.

Clinical manifestation of secondary immunodeficiency is responsible for the decrease in lfe quality in cancer‑treated patients, which may result in administration delays, dose reductions, even in discontinuation of treatment. The main aim of presented study was to stress the possibility of influencing secondary infections with adjunctive immuno-regulatory medicament (AIRT). ⋯ Our results strongly advise regular or even preventive examination of cancer patients by immunologic specialist for the purpose of attenuating some negative consequences of applied anti-tumor therapy (Tab. 1, Fig. 4, Ref. 14). Dysphagia after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is a regular complication. The aim of this study was to identify risk factors for incidence and severity of dysphagia after ACDF with zero-profile spacer. ⋯ Risk factors for incidence and severity of pre-existing dysphagia were myelopathy and GERD. Risk factors for dysphagia incidence after ACDF were number of treated segments, pre-existing dysphagia, myelopathy and surgery of C4/5 segment (Tab. 6, Fig. 1, Ref. 30).

Breast-cancer is a common-cause of death in women.(1) We investigated the effects of before/after-NACT on hemoglobin-albumin-lymphocyte-platelet (HALP) scores and of changes therein on clinical/pathological-responses. ⋯ Higher ORR occurred post-NACT in patients with Ki-67 >20 %, while NLR, PLR, PNI, and HALP before/after-NACT and post-NACT-changes (excepting-PNI) had no-effect on ORR/pCR (Tab. 5, Ref. 21). Text in PDF www.elis.sk Keywords: breast cancer, objective response rate (ORR), pathological complete response (pCR), hemoglobin-albumin-lymphocyte-platelet (HALP) score.
