Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a risk factor of decompression sickness (DCS). However, data on risk stratification of divers with a PFO are sparse. This study sought to evaluate the risk of neurological DCS (DCSneuro), based on the presence and grade of a right-to-left shunt (RLS). ⋯ Divers with a RLS had a higher risk of DCSneuro and the risk increased with RLS grade. We suggest that TCD is an appropriate method for RLS screening and risk stratification in divers (Tab. 4, Fig. 2, Ref. 29).

with the Dravet's syndrome phenotype are associated with the detection of a sequence variant in the SCN1A gene (alpha 1 subunit of the voltage-gated sodium channel) (2). However, sequence variants in the SCN1A gene are associated with a very broad clinical spectrum, from asymptomatic carriers to the severe myoclonic epilepsy phenotype with severe disease (3). ⋯ The aim of the analysis was to verify the extent, to which the storage of a pathogenic sequence variant in the SCN1A gene corresponds to the clinical picture of the patient (Tab. 2, Fig. 2, Ref. 10). Keywords: Dravet's syndrome, sodium channel, functional analysis, prognosis.

SARS-CoV-2 is the cause of a pandemic with high mortality. In the present study, the effects of the lipase/lymphocyte ratio on mortality were investigated in cases diagnosed with Covid-19 and acute pancreatitis. ⋯ The lipase/lymphocyte ratio can be used in cases diagnosed with Covid-19 and acute pancreatitis to predict mortality (Tab. 3, Fig. 3, Ref. 23).

This survey was aimed to obtain the characteristics of physicians operating in mass vaccination sites (MVS), emphasizing their motivation to work there. ⋯ The financial aspect was the most important motivational factor among residents, while moral responsibility was decisive for the attending physicians. Physicians, who participated in MVS as a work duty presented both the most prevalent self-perceived burnout syndrome (32 %) and the hesitancy (48 %) to work in MVS again in the future (Tab. 4, Ref. 15) Keywords: mass vaccination site, COVID-19; healthcare workers, vaccination, SARS-CoV-2, coronavirus.
