Our study aimed to investigate neurological symptoms in patients with COVID-19 and contribute to this area of limited knowledge. ⋯ The nervous system and skeletal muscle system may be among viral targets. Detection of some neurological findings may be valuable in predicting the course of the disease. Some laboratory values can allow predicting disease severity and neurological symptoms (Tab. 5, Ref. 23) Keywords: COVID-19, neurotropism, muscle injury, headache.

To analyse the effect of systemic inflammatory status in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) by calculating platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR). ⋯ Both the POAG and the PACG groups exhibited higher platelet and PLR levels than the control. These results indicate a potential role of systemic inflammation in the pathogenesis of POAG and PACG (Tab. 4, Fig. 1, Ref. 35).

The effect of poly(lactic‑co‑glycolic acid) (PLGA) on structure, degradation, drug release and mechanical properties of fibrin/pomegranate(F/POM)-based drug‑eluting scaffolds have been studied comprehensively.

This study was performed to investigate changes in dentofacial characteristics associated with mouth breathing (MB) and adenoidectomy. ⋯ MB alters the vertical and transverse growth of the craniofacial complex. It is associated with longer lower anterior facial height and decreased maxillary intermolar distance. However, it does not influence the sagittal parameters. Airway clearance via adenoidectomy promotes the normalization of vertical parameters (Tab. 1, Fig. 2, Ref. 20).

Simple ultrasound evaluation of fetal adrenal glands as a marker of imminent preterm birth: a preliminary report.
We present a simple 2D big ultrasound measurement of the fetal adrenal glands and their biometrical growth analysis highlighted as a potential preterm birth marker. ⋯ A simple 2D B-mode measurement of the fetal adrenal glands´ central zone growth can be applied as an additional marker in the prediction of true preterm delivery. The natural biometrical overall growth of the adrenal glands seems to be dependent on gestational age, whereas that of the central adrenal gland zone seems to be independent on gestational age (Tab. 3, Fig. 5, Ref. 26).
