Having cancer adversely effects the outcome of treatment for an unruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). ⋯ Having cancer is a risk factor for periprocedural mortality and long-term survival in patients undergoing treatment for an unruptured AAA. This implies that the indications for surgery should be considered with care, particularly in patients with lung cancer, whose 5-year survival rate is only 37.2%.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that is becoming increasingly common as the population ages. Conservative treatment for hip or knee osteoarthritis has been limited to pain control. Intra-articular injections for targeted local treatment have been widely used in clinical practice for many years. ⋯ In view of the scant available evidence, further standardized RCTs will be needed to give a more comprehensive picture of the efficacy of intra-articular treatments for hip and knee osteoarthritis.
