Although many studies worldwide explained the risk factors for developing Diabetic Foot Ulceration (DFU), little has been done to assess medical factors in DFU formation and link them in patients of Pakistan. This study aimed to link the DFU with different risk factors. ⋯ Factors like obesity, waist circumference, combination of oral along with injectable therapies, neuropathy, dyslipidemia, retinopathy and poor compliance with medication were statistically significant and can be strongly linked with diabetic foot ulcer. Middle age, Male gender, Type 2 diabetes, and Hypertension were insignificantly co-related. However, further studies are needed in larger population to support these findings.

It is known that the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is associated with adverse outcomes in ischemic stroke patients. We aimed to reveal the association of NLR and thiol/disulfide homeostasis (TDH) with ischemic stroke patients. ⋯ Physicians should focus on patients with increased NLR, as these patients appear to represent a population at risk for increased morbidity. We have quantitatively demonstrated in tissue oxidative stress level with TDH parameters. Investigation of these new parameters should be continued for the determination of prognostic significance.

To study clinical and radiological outcomes in patients who had undergone the procedure of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with titanium or PEEK (polyetheretherketone) cages for cervical disc prolapse. ⋯ Results with titanium and PEEK (polyetheretherketone) cages are excellent. There was no significant difference in clinical and radiological outcome between two groups of patients (p > 0.05). Fusion rate was 100% at one year with both cages.

The retrosternal goiter (RSG), which can be defined by different classification and its incidence between 2% and 26% of all thyroidectomized patients, is a thyroid gland disease. Our aim was to classify RSG cases with a couple of different ways, which we have detected in computed tomography (CT) imaging of the thorax. ⋯ In patients who have retrosternal goiter, goiter spread can be defined with multiple classification with thorax CT.
