To determine the pattern of COVID-19 on chest radiograph in patients presenting to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, Pakistan. ⋯ Portable chest radiography is an essential supporting tool for assessing different patterns in COVID-19 infection. The most common pattern observed is alveolar opacities with predominant peripheral distribution either unilateral or more frequently bilateral, starting from the lower and mid zones extending to the upper zones and becoming diffuse with disease progression.

To evaluate the diagnostic value of the rtRT-PCR test and CT in patients presenting with typical clinical symptoms of COVID-19. ⋯ It should be noted that a negative result in the rtRT-PCR test does not rule out the possibility of COVID-19 diagnosis in patients whose symptom duration is longer than five days, who are elderly with comorbidities and in particular who present with fever and shortness of breath. In these patients, typical CT findings are diagnostic for COVID-19. A normal chest CT is no reason to loosen up measures of isolation in patients with newly beginning symptoms until the results are obtained from the PCR test.

Sodium glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT 2 inhibitors) are newer anti-hyperglycemic agents, which improve glycemic control independent of insulin secretion with a low risk of hypoglycemia. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of SGLT 2 inhibitors in terms of glycemic control, weight reduction and safety profile in our patients with type 2 Diabetes (T2D). ⋯ Dapagliflozin and Empagliflozin offer a significant additional drug in improving glycemic control with the additional advantage of weight loss and hypoglycemia safety.

To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in detection of intra-axial gliomas in suspected cases keeping histopathology as gold standard. ⋯ MRI has high sensitivity, moderate specificity and high diagnostic accuracy in detection of intraaxial gliomas.

To study the expression of IL-17 in peripheral blood and its effect on maternal-fetal tolerance in patients with eclampsia in late pregnancy using MRI image segmentation algorithm. ⋯ The major types of cerebrovascular diseases (CVD) in severe preeclampsia and eclampsia were reversible posterior encephalopathy syndrome and cerebral hemorrhage. It was speculated that the damage to the blood-brain barrier may play an important role in the pathogenesis. The balance of the number of Th17 cells/the number of Treg cells was more inclined to the Th17 cell-mediated pro-inflammatory state, Treg cell-mediated immune tolerance decreases, and it becomes more obvious with the worsening of the disease.
