To study the therapeutic effects of combined tamsulosin hydrochloride and terazosin treatment for patients with chronic prostatitis Type-III b. ⋯ The combination of tamsulosin hydrochloride and terazosin for the treatment of patients with chronic prostatitis Type-III b has a significant effect. This approach reduced patient symptoms, lowered inflammatory biomarkers, and generally improved quality of life. This approach appears to have clinical value worthy of future investigation.

To investigate the indications of obstetric emergency hysterectomy and analyze the clinical effects of subtotal hysterectomy and total hysterectomy. ⋯ The treatment effect of subtotal hysterectomies for the cases without placenta accreta and placenta previa was similar in the two hospitals. There is no statistically significant difference in therapeutic effect between total hysterectomy and subtotal hysterectomy.

To determine frequency of esophageal malignancy in Balochistan and to evaluate its correlation with predisposing and dietary factors. ⋯ Esophageal cancer was associated in those groups of people which may regard as having high risk factors. These include increased intake of spicy/salted food, hot beverages, drugs, quid and smoked tobacco, coupled with low intake of fruits and vegetables, lack of awareness and low socioeconomic status.

To appraise the effects of previous history of ineffectual extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (SWL) treatment on the execution and end result of percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). ⋯ Patients having prior history of unsuccessful SWL history before undertaking the PCNL procedure manifested similar stone free rates and complications rates as those observed in SWL naive cases of PCNL.

The present study aimed to determine the effect of tracheobronchial aspiration on hospitalization outcomes and the factors influencing its occurrence. ⋯ Tracheobronchial aspiration is a significant predictor of inpatient mortality among patients with hepatic encephalopathy. Male gender, increasing age & upper GI bleed predict aspiration in hepatic encephalopathy patients.
