To determine the association of different blood groups in patients with Dengue fever and their relationship with the severity of the illness. ⋯ Patients with blood Group-B were more frequent and AB was least commonly affected by the Dengue-virus infections. However, no association was found between a particular blood group and disease severity. Greater proportions of the younger men had Dengue infections.

To investigate the causes of death in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) on maintenance hemodialysis and its influencing factors. ⋯ Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in patients with chronic renal failure on maintenance hemodialysis. Adequate dialysis and normal hemoglobin levels are favorable protective factors.

To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of interventional embolization in the treatment of anterior circulation aneurysms. ⋯ Interventional embolization shows the advantages of minimally invasive procedures such as shorter operative times and shorter hospital stays. It has better clinical safety because it can significantly improve the neurological function and quality of life of patients, improve the prognosis of patients, and reduce the incidence of complications.

Molecular detection and co-presence of carbapenem-resistant genes in the isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa are less commonly reported from Quetta. In the present study, we determined to highlight the antibiotic sensitivity profile and genetic mechanism of carbapenem resistance. ⋯ The emergence of MBL and ESBL producers is an alarming threat in the region. It is of great importance to determine the resistance mechanism of bacterial bugs. The lack of new antimicrobials particularly against gram-negative bacteria is quite alarming worldwide.

To explore the risk factors of anastomotic leakage after minimally invasive esophagectomy (MIE) and to build a prediction model of the probability of postoperative anastomotic leakage. ⋯ The nomograph prediction model based on the independent risk factors of anastomotic leakage after MIE can accurately predict the probability of postoperative anastomotic leakage.
