The specific objectives of this study were to identify the ethical issues in reporting of health-related events in media and suggest ways to improve it. ⋯ The quality of health reporting can be improved by building the capacity of health reporters in understanding the ethical issues and their social responsibilities toward health.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 0.5% timolol maleate gel, reported as an efficacious option for management of infantile hemangiomas (IH) in children. ⋯ Timolol maleate 0.5% gel is an effective and safe treatment option for IH irrespective of location of lesion, age and history of prior treatment.

To explore the outcome of nutritional intervention in child health care on infant growth and disease prevention. ⋯ Applying nutrition intervention to child health care plays an important role in maintaining the healthy growth and development of infants and reducing the incidence of nutritional diseases such as anemia and rickets. It needs to be promoted in clinical practice.

The proposed study was planned to screen Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) status in potentially malignant oral disorders (PMOD) and correlated HPV positivity with cytological changes in oral smears. ⋯ Early detection of PMODs by adopting minimally invasive cytological techniques and screening for HPV infection in local population is pivotal to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with the advanced disease and carcinoma.

Emergency Departments (EDs) play a major role in managing acute and chronic illnesses, especially in low-to-middle-income countries like Pakistan, which lacks effective primary healthcare. This study reports the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of patients presenting over a two-year period at the Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) adult ED in Karachi, Pakistan. ⋯ Knowledge of epidemiology and clinical characteristics of patients can help facilitate timely planning of staff deployment and allocation of resources to avoid overcrowding, improve patient outcomes, and increase patient satisfaction through timely management.
