To assess the prevalence of carbapenemase genes among multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) isolates from tertiary care centers in Southern Thailand. ⋯ A high percentage of CR-MDR-PA carries carbapenemase genes in our area; therefore, more emphasis on and application of molecular techniques for infection prevention and control may provide useful insights on disease epidemiology.

To examine the effects of early pregnancy loss on emotions such as depression, grief, or a sense of hopelessness, while investigating different types of diagnoses, hospital stays, and treatments. ⋯ Moderate anxiety, depressed mood, and perinatal grief were found in women diagnosed with early pregnancy loss, regardless of the type of abortion.

To assess the clinical profile and primary treatment response and outcomes in idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) patients. ⋯ Our results show a good and comparable response to cyclophosphamide, tacrolimus, and rituximab at 6 months of follow up. The cases which achieved complete remission had significantly lower baseline proteinuria compared to those who did not respond.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a common autoimmune disease. Malignancy is a serious complication of rheumatoid arthritis and its treatment. ⋯ She was found to have recto-sigmoid cancer, disseminated tuberculosis infection, and acute lymphoid leukemia at different intervals of treatment. Therefore, it is advisable to initiate appropriate screening programs that target high-risk people for malignancy.

To evaluate the radiation metrics from frequently carried out vascular and interventional radiology (VIR) procedures at a tertiary care institution and compare them to international diagnostic reference levels (DRLs). ⋯ Majority of VIR-procedures demonstrate no significant institutional variations in dosimetry compared to other studies. Using these studied values as reference levels may help identifying procedures that need quality control to minimize unnecessary exposures.
