To estimate the prevalence of post- amputation pain among lower-limb amputees and its burden on their lives. ⋯ Post-amputation pain is one of the major consequences of amputation. Pain was poorly managed among these patients. Special considerations should be obtained to manage these patients' pain and reduce their suffering.

To investigate the influence of the metastatic lymph node/total lymph node ratio (N-ratio) on survival and prognosis in surgically treated gastric carcinomas. ⋯ The N-ratio could be a new metric to evaluate prognosis following curative gastrectomy and improve the existing tumor lymph node metastasis staging system.

The relationship between the visceral adiposity index and carotid atherosclerosis in different genders and age groups.
To investigate the possible relationship between visceral adiposity index (VAI) and carotid atherosclerosis(CAS) in different genders and age groups in China. ⋯ The relationship between VAI and CAS, with gender and age differences. Visceral adiposity index could be selected as new and simple predictors of CAS for females (>44 years of age) in China.

To analyze the impact and distribution of blood groups in different ethnicities and the extent of susceptibility to infection with COVID-19 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. ⋯ We emphasize that COVID-19 infection is not proportional among ethnically related blood groups. Notably, RhD-negative protect against COVID-19, whereas A and O blood types are more susceptible. Thus, when assessing COVID-19 prognosis and vaccination priority, blood groups A and O are critical.
