Multicenter Study[Risk factors of the occurence and death of acute respiratory distress syndrome: a prospective multicenter cohort study].
To explore the risk factors of the occurence and 28-day death of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ Among critical ill patients, aspiration, history of alcohol, sepsis, pneumonia, increased APACHEII score were the risk factors of ARDS development. Respiratory rate>30 beats/min and heart rate>100 beats/min could predict the occurrence of ARDS in critical patients. Old age and septic shock were the risk factors of 28-day death of ARDS.

[The protective effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell on lung injury induced by vibrio vulnificus sepsis].
To discuss the protective effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) on lung injury induced by vibrio vulnificus sepsis and its mechanism. ⋯ Vibrio vulnificus sepsis can cause acute lung damage and edema, and BMSC can down regulate inflammatory cytokines, reduce lung injury caused by vibrio vulnificus sepsis.

Comparative Study Controlled Clinical Trial[Comparison of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and mechanical ventilation for inter-hospital transport of severe acute respiratory distress syndrome patients].
To compare inter-hospital transport and clinical outcome in severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)patients whom were transported either on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) or on conventional ventilation, and to investigate the optimal means of inter-hospital transport. ⋯ For patients with severe ARDS who need the support of ECMO, ECMO-assisted transfer is safer than conventional ventilation, but transfer should be implemented by experienced team.

[The levels of angiopoietin-2 in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome and its value on prognosis].
To approach the correlation between angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) levels and degree of lung injury and prognosis and its clinical significance in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ The plasma level of Ang-2 was significantly increased in patients with ARDS. The plasma level of Ang-2 was correlated with the severity of acute lung injury and had important prognosis evaluation.

[Analysis of characteristics and related risk factors of prognosis in elderly and young adult patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To compare the characteristics and risk factors of prognosis between elder and young patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ Higher APACHEII score and the number of organ dysfunction were independent predictors of worse outcome in elder ARDS patients. Higher APACHEII score was the independent predictor of worse outcome in young ARDS patients.
