Randomized Controlled Trial[Effect of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy on diaphragmatic function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a prospective randomized controlled trial].
To investigate the effect of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy (HFNC) on the clinical efficacy and diaphragm function of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). ⋯ HFNC can effectively relieve diaphragm fatigue in patients with mild to moderate AECOPD, but it had no effect on carbon dioxide retention.

[Application value of thromboelastography in patients with multiple trauma in emergency department].
To explore the value of thromboelastography (TEG) in patients with multiple trauma in emergency department. ⋯ TEG indicators have clinical value on predicting the severity of illness in patients with multiple trauma. The changes in R and K values are effective indicators to judge the risk of DIC in patients with severe multiple trauma.

[Passive leg raising combined with echocardiography could evaluate volume responsiveness in patients with septic shock].
To assess the value of passive leg raising (PLR) combined with echocardiography in predicting volume responsiveness in patients with septic shock. ⋯ ΔSV and ΔLVEF measured by PLR combined with echocardiography can be used to evaluate the volume responsiveness in patients with septic shock and can guide fluid therapy.

Observational Study[Clinical significance on serum intestinal fatty acid binding protein and D-lactic acid levels in early intestinal injury of patients with sepsis].
To investigate the changes and clinical significances of intestinal fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP) and D-lactic acid levels in early intestinal injury of patients with sepsis and septic shock. ⋯ Serum I-FABP and D-lactic acid levels can evaluate early intestinal injury in patients with sepsis and septic shock, but neither of them is related to the prognosis of patients.

[Prognostic value of procalcitonin and C-reactive protein combined with sequential organ failure assessment score in elderly patients with sepsis induced by pulmonary infection].
To investigate the prognostic value of procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) combined with sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score in elderly patients with sepsis induced by pulmonary infection. ⋯ PCT, CRP and SOFA score are commonly used to evaluate the prognosis of the elderly patients with sepsis induced by pulmonary infection, and the combination of them has higher evaluation value.
