Randomized Controlled Trial[A clinical study on the determination of cuff pressure in artificial airway by minimum air leakage method].
To compare the cuff pressure and leakage volume and the related complications of filling the tracheal tube cuff by minimum air leakage method and cuff pressure manometer method after endotracheal intubation, so as to provide theoretical basis for patients who was intubated to obtain appropriate cuff pressure. ⋯ The optimal cuff pressure is very important for preventing VAP and reducing airway complications. The minimum air leakage method makes the clinical obtained endotracheal intubation cuff pressure more accurately, with less air leakage, safe and effective, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.

To investigate the characteristics and the risk factors of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) associated acute kidney injury (AKI). ⋯ The risk of AKI is higher in patients with COVID-19. Early intervention to prevent AKI in patients with COVID-19 is of great significance to improve the prognosis of patients.

Observational Study[Value of the combination of renal resistive index and central venous pressure to predict septic shock induced acute kidney injury].
To explore a better indicator that can predict septic shock induced acute kidney injury (AKI) by combining renal resistive index (RRI) and central venous pressure (CVP). ⋯ High CVP and RRI were independent risk factors for septic shock induced AKI. The combination of RRI and CVP performs poorly in predicting septic shock induced AKI. Further studies are needed to describe factors influencing Doppler-based assessment of RRI, which may help clinicians to prevent AKI early.

Observational Study[Diagnostic accuracy of bedside ultrasound measurement of limb skeletal muscle thickness for intensive care unit-acquired weakness].
To explore the diagnostic accuracy of bedside ultrasound measurement of limb skeletal muscle thickness for intensive care unit-acquired weakness (ICU-AW) in patients receiving mechanical ventilation. ⋯ The thicknesses of FCR, RF and TA measured by bedside ultrasound in patients with mechanical ventilation had diagnostic values for ICU-AW, while the thickness of BB could not diagnose ICU-AW.

[Lactic acid, lactate clearance and procalcitonin in assessing the severity and predicting prognosis in sepsis].
To explore the value of lactic acid (Lac), lactate clearance (LCR) and procalcitonin (PCT) in assessing the severity and predicting the prognosis in sepsis. ⋯ Lac is an independent risk factor for death in patients with septic shock, however, the prognosis cannot be predicted. Comprehensive analysis of LCR, PCT, SOFA, APACHE II and the clinical organ functions are required for analysis.
