[Diagnostic and predictive value of critical illness scores and biomarkers in bloodstream infection-associated pneumonia].
To compare the early and late predictive value of several critical illness scores (CISs) and biomarkers in patients with bloodstream infection (BSI)-associated pneumonia, and to identify the value of procalcitonin (PCT) in etiological diagnosis. ⋯ PCT is more reliable in the identification of pathogen type in BSI-associated pneumonia, while CISs may be more advantageous in the assessment of early and late prognosis.

[Implementation of acute respiratory distress syndrome treatment strategies by critical care physicians in Liaoning Province: a multi-center investigation].
To investigate the implementation of the currently recognized and effective treatment strategies for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in Liaoning Province in order to improve the clinical implementation of ARDS treatment strategies. ⋯ Most critical care physicians in Liaoning Province had positive implementation toward the currently recognized effective ARDS treatment strategies, but a few performed poorly. According to the reasons that affected the physicians' treatment behaviors, it is necessary to strengthen physicians' awareness of treatment, apply strict training, standardize the clinical implementation of effective treatment strategies, and then improve the prognosis of ARDS patients.

[Value of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide in evaluating early septic cardiac dysfunction in neonates].
To investigate the significance of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in the early assessment of neonatal cardiac dysfunction in sepsis. ⋯ NT-proBNP can be used as a diagnostic marker of early cardiac dysfunction, and for rapid diagnosis of neonatal cardiac dysfunction in sepsis. The application may guide clinicians to use drugs better to improve cardiac function and treatment effect.

[Expert opinion on diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 with traditional Chinese medicine based on "three syndromes and three methods"].
As the ability of treating coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) improves, the theory and method of diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 need to be further enriched and perfected. In the clinical treatment of COVID-19, the theoretical system of "three syndromes and three methods" for treating critical diseases based on syndrome differentiation by integrated traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine has been recognized by the majority of clinical respiratory and critical disease experts. Xuebijing injection, which was developed based on "three syndromes and three methods", has been repeatedly recommended in the national diagnosis and treatment guidelines. In order to facilitate the clinical practitioners better understanding the "three syndromes and three methods", and apply the theory into the treatment of COVID-19, Expert opinion on diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 with traditional Chinese medicine based on "three syndromes and three methods" was organized by experts from China Association of Integrative Medicine Emergency Medicine Committee, which could make references for clinical practice.

[Value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in the classification diagnosis of coronavirus disease 2019].
To investigate the clinical significance of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in classification of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). ⋯ NLR can be used as a biomarker to predict classification of COVID-19 patients independently, which can provide a theoretical basis for the classification management of COVID-19 patients.
