Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Comparison of virtual reality rehabilitation and conventional rehabilitation in Parkinson's disease: a randomised controlled trial.
To compare a 6-week virtual reality (VR) rehabilitation programme with a conventional rehabilitation programme in patients with Parkinson's disease. ⋯ NCT02807740.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of ventilation mode and manual chest compression on flow bias during the positive end- and zero end-expiratory pressure manoeuvre in mechanically ventilated patients: a randomised crossover trial.
To investigate the effects of ventilation mode and manual chest compression (MCC) application on the flow bias generated during positive end-expiratory pressure-zero end-expiratory pressure (PEEP-ZEEP) in mechanically ventilated patients. PEEP-ZEEP is an airway clearance manoeuvre with the potential to exceed the flow bias required to remove secretions. However, the ventilation mode applied during the manoeuvre has not been standardised. ⋯ http://www.ensaiosclinicos.gov.br/rg/RBR-223xv8/.

Randomized Controlled Trial
A single-blind, randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effectiveness of transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (TTNS) in Overactive Bladder symptoms in women responders to percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS).
To evaluate the effectiveness of transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (TTNS) compared to percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) in sustaining symptom improvement over a 6-month period in women with idiopathic Overactive Bladder (OAB) who had responded to an initial 12-week course of PTNS. ⋯ TTNS is effective in the maintenance of symptom improvement in women with OAB who had positively responded to a course of 12 weekly PTNS sessions. The trial was registered in the Clinicaltrials.gov PRS database (Identifier: NCT02377765).

A plain-language summary is a short and clearly stated version of a study's results using non-scientific vocabulary that provide many advantages for patients and clinicians in the process of shared decision-making. ⋯ Although the publication of plain-language summaries is increasing over time, the current number corresponds to only 13% of all published reports. In addition the majority of plain-language summaries are written at an advanced reading level.

To compare the functional status at intensive care unit (ICU) discharge of patients who were later readmitted to the ICU and patients discharged home and to verify whether a decline in functional status is associated with ICU readmission. ⋯ Readmitted patients presented poorer functional status and lower pinch strength. Relative variation of the Barthel Index was associated with ICU readmission despite other factors, as was higher APACHE II, shorter IMV duration and admission without clear diagnosis.
