The function of the heart after successful transcatheter mitral valve repair due to severe functional regurgitation.
The function of the heart after successful transcatheter edge‑to‑edge mitral valve repair (TMVR) remains not fully investigated. ⋯ Our data indicate that no improvement of heart strains can be expected after suc-cessful TMVR in the short‑term follow‑up, and the function of the LA may even deteriorate in some subpopulations.

Observational StudyDynamics of humoral response to coronavirus antigens among employees of COVID-dedicated hospital: an observational study.
During the COVID‑19 pandemic studies on workplace safety of hospital staff taking care of patients with this disease are a high priority. We decided to analyze the results of opportunistic screening for anti-SARS‑CoV-2 antibodies among employees of a designated COVID-19 center. ⋯ We detected developing humoral immune response to a new set of coronavirus antigens among the study group. It is possible that employees of designated COVID‑19 centers are regularly exposed to noninfectious doses of SARS‑CoV-2 or its antigens.

Chronic prothrombotic tendency in patients with granulomatosis with polyangiitis.
Patients with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) show increased tendency toward thromboembolic phenomena in exacerbation of their disease. ⋯ Patients with GPA show an increased prothrombotic state, regardless of the disease phase. This is probably related to ongoing low-grade inflammation and endothelial injury. Large clinical studies are required to address the need for, and appropriate type of, antithrombotic prophylaxis during the course of GPA.

Burnout, well-being and self-reported medical errors among physicians.
In recent years, healthcare systems around the world have been subject to profound changes driven by advances in technology, new regulations as well as demographic and societal trends. This volatile and stressful environment has had its consequences for healthcare organizations and their employees. The resulting phenomena of burnout or lowered well‑being may affect key aspects of healthcare delivery on individual, organizational, and financial levels. ⋯ The level of burnout among respondents was high and had numerous negative consequences that may affect the entire healthcare system. The results suggest there is an urgent need to address the problem of burnout among physicians.
