Correlations of degree of coronary artery stenosis with blood lipid, CRP, Hcy, GGT, SCD36 and fibrinogen levels in elderly patients with coronary heart disease.
To explore the correlations between the degree of coronary artery stenosis with blood lipid, C-reactive protein (CRP), homocysteine (Hcy), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), soluble cluster determinant 36 (sCD36), and fibrinogen (Fib) levels in elderly patients with coronary heart disease. ⋯ The elevations of blood lipid, CRP, Hcy, GGT, sCD36, and Fib levels are closely associated with coronary artery stenosis, and serve as the independent risk factors for coronary artery stenosis.

ReviewBurnout syndrome among emergency medicine physicians: an update on its prevalence and risk factors.
Training in and practising emergency medicine are very stressful conditions that pose a significant emotional burden on physicians, placing them at high risk of developing burnout. The purpose of the current manuscript is to review the published literature on burnout prevalence among emergency medicine physicians and to identify the risk factors associated with its occurrence. ⋯ Emergency medicine physicians are of a high risk of burnout, although further agreement is needed regarding the use of the Maslach Burnout Inventory as a diagnostic tool. Furthermore, the identification of the potential risk factors for this disorder is crucial so that high-risk groups could be early identified and properly addressed.

MicroRNA-361-5p suppresses the tumorigenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma through targeting WT1 and suppressing WNT/β-cadherin pathway.
MicroRNA-361-5p (miR-361-5p) has been found to be involved in the pathogenesis of several human cancers. However, the specific role of miR-361-5p is still unclear in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Therefore, this study was designed to elucidate the function of miR-361-5p in HCC. ⋯ MiR-361-5p suppressed tumorigenesis of HCC by targeting WT1 and inactivating the WNT/β-cadherin pathway.

Retracted PublicationKnocking down PFL can improve myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats by up-regulating heat shock protein-20.
To investigate the effect and mechanism of long non-coding ribonucleic acid (lncRNA) PFL on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats, and to provide a reference for the prevention and treatment of myocardial infarction (MI) in clinic. ⋯ We found that PFL knockdown can significantly improve the myocardial injury caused by I/R and improve the cardiac function in rats. The mechanism may be related to the activation of HSP-20 by PFL siRNAs. Therefore, PFL is expected to become a new target for the treatment of MI.

MiR-124 changes the sensitivity of lung cancer cells to cisplatin through targeting STAT3.
To investigate the role of micro ribonucleic acid (miR)-124 in drug resistance of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and to explore its underlying mechanism. ⋯ MiR-124 regulates the sensitivity of NSCLC to cisplatin. Moreover, it inhibits the invasion and metastasis capacities through targeting STAT3, which can serve as a therapeutic target for cisplatin-based chemotherapy resistance of NSCLC.
