Randomized Controlled Trial[Epidural analgesia in latent phase of labor: effects on length of labor and mode of delivery].
To compare the outcome of ropivacaine plus sufentanil for patient-controlled epidural analgesia between nulliparous women presenting in latent and active labor. ⋯ Compared with epidural analgesia in active phase of labor, early administration of epidural analgesia in latent phase did not prolong labor, however, the caesarean section rate was increased and instrumental delivery rate was decreased.

[Aortic arch operation under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest].
To summarize the surgical experience of aortic arch operation under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest. ⋯ Aortic arch operation includes partial aortic arch replacement, total arch replacement, and total arch replacement with elephant trunk technique. The operation procedure is selected according to the primary lesion and how aortic arch has been affected. Deep hypothermic circulatory arrest with selective cerebral perfusion facilitates complicated aortic arch operation, resulting in a reduction of mortality and morbidity for arch aneurysms or dissection.

[Application of apparent diffusion coefficient and fractional anisotropy in identification of tumor component and grading of brain astrocytoma].
To evaluate the value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and fractional anisotropy (FA) in identification of tumor element and grading of brain astrocytoma. ⋯ ADC value plays an important part in distinguishing tumor components and determining tumor boundary, and plays a certain role in judging the grade of astrocytomas. FA value is vital to determine the tumor boundary, and has certain value in differentiating high-grade from low-grade astrocytomas.

[The causes of death and risk factors in patients of war wound and trauma of extremities by logistic regression model].
To explore the causes of death and risk factors in patients of war wound and trauma of extremities. ⋯ Acute renal failure (ARF) was the main cause of death of patients of war wound and trauma of extremities. Its should be helpful for minimize the mortality of patients of war wound and trauma to manage the shock in time and have a correct choice of amputation promptly.

[Navigated percutaneous placement of iliosacral screws using intra-operative three-dimensional imaging].
To investigate the effect of a new technique of navigated percutaneous placement of iliosacral screws using intra-operative three-dimensional (3D) imaging. ⋯ Compared with the conventional fluoroscopy method, navigated percutaneous placement of iliosacral screws under intra-operative 3D imaging reduces the radiation time and improves the accuracy. It is feasible and useful though there are some disadvantages such as the inferior image quality compared to CT scan, prolonged operation time and higher overall cost.
