Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study[Clinical trial with a new immunomodulatory strategy: treatment of severe sepsis with Ulinastatin and Maipuxin].
To evaluate the efficacy of treatment of severe sepsis by combining anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing agents. ⋯ Treatment by the combining anti-inflammatory and immune enhancing agents can significantly improve the outcome of severe sepsis. The efficacy of this therapy seems to be dose dependent on.

To investigate the expression profile of integrin genes in heart of septic rat and relevant mechanisms responsible for sepsis-induced heart injury. ⋯ Maladjustment in expression of integrin genes is present in the septic rat heart. Up-regulation of integrin alphaV and beta2 genes may accelerate the heart injury mediated by inflammatory mediators, and the relatively insufficient expression of integrin beta1 gene may contribute to cardiac dysfunction.

To analyze the clinical manifestation and neuroendoscopic techniques in treatment of suprasellar arachnoid cysts. ⋯ Endoscopic ventriculocystostomy (ventriculocystocisternostomy) is an effective and safe method in the treatment of suprasellar arachnoid cysts.

[Establishment of a method of contact heat evoked potential and its application in carpal tunnel syndrome].
To establish a method to evoke cerebral potentials by stimulating nociceptive fibers, estimate the conduction velocities of nerve fibers mediating these responses, and assess the value of the potentials in carpal tunnel syndrome. ⋯ Elicited reliably, CHEP is mediated by Adelta and C fibers. The conduction velocity of C fibers in the patients with carpal tunnel syndrome is decreased.

[Upstream signaling pathway of neutrophil elastase-induced mucous hypersecretion].
To investigate the upstream signal transduction pathway of neutrophil elastase (NE)-induced mucous hypersecretion via epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). ⋯ NE induces MUC5AC expression via ROS/TACE/pro-TGF-alpha/EGFR in the airway epithelial cells.
