[Value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration in diagnosis of the mediastinal enlarged lymph nodes].
Objective: To investigate the value of the endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in diagnosing mediastinal enlarged lymph nodes. Methods: A total of 210 patients with mediastinal enlarged lymph nodes from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from 2014 July to 2015 October were enrolled for EBUS-TBNA. Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) imaging features, including lymph node short diameter, the ratio of longitudinal to transverse diameter, the blood flow and morphology destroy, in benign and malignant lymph nodes were evaluated separately and their relationships with the rate of malignant lymph nodes were also analyzed. ⋯ The ROC curve indicated the optimal cut-off point of short diameter was 8.2 mm. The accuracy of diagnosis by the combination of the above 4 ultrasound features, those were the lymph node short diameter not less than 1 cm, the ratio of longitudinal to transverse diameter less than 1.5, the blood flow distribution Ⅱ-Ⅲ and morphology destroy, was higher than those of the single factor (89.3% vs 74.7%, 67.9%, 67.8%, 67.5%) (all P<0.001). Conclusion: EBUS-TBNA has satisfying value in diagnosing malignant mediastinal enlarged lymph nodes.

[Assessment for pain control efficiency of ultrasound guided adductor canal block in total knee arthroplasty: a report of 28 continuous cases].
Objective: To assess the pain control efficiency of continuous adductor canal block in total knee arthroplasty. Methods: From October to December 2015, patients with severe knee osteoarthritis undergoing primary unilateral TKA were observed clinically. All of the patients received ultrasound-guided continuous adductor canal block after surgery. ⋯ Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided continuous adductor canal block can reduce resting pain after TKA, but has a limited effect in activity pain control. Quadriceps strength had been spared after ACB, which might performearly benefits in rehabilitation. ACB-related complications need further observation to be defined.

[Needle electromyography features and values of paraspinal muscle parameters in assessment of respiratory function of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis].
Objective: To analyze the features of needle electromyography (EMG) in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and explore the correlation between EMG parameters of the tenth thoracic paraspinal muscle and disease duration, rate of disease progression, forced vital capacity (FVC) and revised Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Functional Rating Scale (ALSFRS-R). Methods: Standard EMG was recorded from unilateral sternocleidomastoid muscle and/or tongue muscles, upper and lower limbs muscles and the tenth thoracic paraspinal muscle in 112 patients with definite ALS between March 2012 and June 2013 in the Department of Neurology at Chinese PLA General Hospital. Parameters studies included spontaneous potentials, duration and amplitude of motor unit potentials (MUP), pattern of recruitment. ⋯ Conclusions: The abnormal spontaneous activity with high frequency are fibrillation potentials and/or positive sharp waves. However, FPs is observed in a small number of patients and CRDs is rarely seen in ALS. The ALSFRS-R and peak amplitude of thetenth thoracic paraspinal muscle may be of certain clinical value in estimating the severity of disease especially the respiratory dysfunction in ALS patients.

Comparative Study[Comparison of results between fenestration discectomy associated with annulus repair and fenestration discectomy for lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents].
To compare the preliminary clinical outcomes of fenestration discectomy associated with annulus repair (FDAR) and fenestration discectomy (FD) for lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents. ⋯ The preliminary clinical efficacy of both FDAR and FD in the treatment of single segment lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents is satisfactory.

Comparative Study[Comparison of severity and clinical outcomes between hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis and acute pancreatitis due to other causes].
To investigate the difference in severity and clinical outcomes between hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis (HTGP) and acute pancreatitis (AP) of other causes, and to analyze the correlation between the serum triglyceride (TG) level <24 h after onset and the disease severity. ⋯ Compared with AP of other causes, HTGP patients have more severe clinical course and worse clinical outcomes. The serum TG level within 24 hours of onset may be positively correlated with the severity of HTGP.
