Observational Study[Utility of the detection of autoantibodies in autoinmune liver diseases using immunoblot].
For the diagnosis of liver diseases, clinical criteria, biochemical, immunological and histological parameters are included. The autoimmune panel is an immunoblot that contemplates the detection of antibodies against 9 different hepatic antigens, which could guide the diagnosis of these pathologies. ⋯ The autoimmune panel turns out to be a useful diagnostic tool for liver diseases, especially PBC in isolation or in overlap syndrome.

Bioaccumulation of toxic metals in the population is associated with adverse health effects. Although some elements are essential for humans, high levels of exposure can be dangerous. ⋯ The results of this study suggest that a small percentage of the samples analyzed in the beneficiary population of Arica register metal concentration levels above national reference levels established by MINSAL, mainly AsIn, Cd, and Pb. It is essential to continue biomonitoring to reduce and prevent exposure to these metals, which can have harmful effects on human health.

[The administrative violation of granting sick leave with an evident absence of medical grounds and the bill that facilitates its sanction].
This article deals with the regulatory violation of issuing sick leave with an evident absence of medical grounds. Two problematic aspects present in the sanctioning practice of the Social Security Regulatory Agency are analyzed: the discrepancy between the wording of the regulation and its application, and the multiplicity of duties that can configure the behavior defined by the law, although they do not constitute fraud against the sick leave system. The context of this study is the bill that seeks to lower the standard for the regulator to impose administrative penalties on offenders who issue unjustified sick leave and aggravate those penalties.

Review[Vaccination for Cirrhosis and Liver Transplant Patients].
Patients with cirrhosis and liver transplantation (LT) have a higher risk of infections, complications and death. Vaccines have historically been used to prevent and reduce the risk of complications from viral and bacterial infections. ⋯ In case of not reaching its inoculation prior to LT, in the post-LT period its vaccination status should be updated. All doctors involved in the health care of these patients must have knowledge about this important topic and be aware of the access and free availability for this population through the presentation of a special form incorporated into the National Immunization Program.

Cultural competence in a primary healthcare center in Santiago de Chile: a mixed methods design.
The immigrant population in Chile is growing significantly, challenging the health care system's capacity to provide sensitive and effective care. ⋯ The analysis provides a starting point for policies aimed at the development of cultural competence in the national scenario, suggesting a general direction to foster transcultural competence in health, such as formal training and the promotion of informal spaces ofsensibilization.
