Standing while working is often the most appropriate working posture. However, there are a number of serious considerations regarding employees' health and comfort. Proper shoes should be worn and footrests provided. Finally, special consideration should be given to employees with pre-existing health conditions that may accentuate the negative consequences of working in a standing posture.
