Comparative Study[The characteristics of the effect of inert gases on tissue respiration in vivo].
Helium-oxygen and argon-oxygen gaseous mixtures have been studied for their effect on tissue respiration. It is shown that 1-hour exposition of animals induces an increase in the oxygen consumption of the liver tissue (more essential in the presence of helium in the gaseous mixture).
