Case ReportsImminent pulmonary embolism: a fatal mobile right atrial thrombus.
Right sided heart thrombi are infrequent and if they are mobile they may cause serious morbidity and mortality due to massive pulmonary embolism or paradoxical embolism. Malignancies are one of the important etiological factors for right heart thrombi. ⋯ Urgent open heart surgery was decided but imminent massive pulmonary embolism complicated the case leading to irreversible cardiogenic shock. By means of the presented case this paper overviews etiological factors and treatment options for right sided heart thrombi.

Case ReportsSingle coronary artery presenting with cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction.
Percutaneous coronary revascularization plays an important role in the management of acute coronary syndrome. Unpredictable angiographic findings of anomalous coronary arteries may, however, compromise the otherwise high and predictable success rates of this intervention. We report a case of failed coronary angioplasty of the left anterior descending artery through an anomalous left main coronary artery originating from the right coronary sinus in a 33-year-old man with acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock. Subsequently the patient performed successful emergency coronary artery bypass graft.

Case ReportsMRI demonstration of acute myocardial infarction due to posttraumatic coronary artery dissection.
A case of left ventricular lateral wall myocardial infarction in the distribution of circumflex coronary artery (LCX) was demonstrated by magnetic resonance imaging in a 55-year-old woman. Dissection of the proximal LCX due to blunt chest trauma was followed by percutaneous coronary artery stenting. MR (magnetic resonance) imaging of myocardial infarction is reviewed.
