Non-specific low back pain is a common, potentially disabling condition usually treated with self-care and non-prescription medication. For chronic low back pain, current guidelines recommend exercise therapy. Yoga is a mind-body exercise sometimes used for non-specific low back pain. ⋯ There is low- to moderate-certainty evidence that yoga compared to no exercise results in small and clinically unimportant improvements in back-related function and pain. There is probably little or no difference between yoga and other back-related exercise for back-related function at three months, although it remains uncertain whether there is any difference between yoga and other exercise for pain and quality of life. Yoga is associated with more adverse events than no exercise, but may have the same risk of adverse events as other exercise. In light of these results, decisions to use yoga instead of no exercise or another exercise may depend on availability, cost, and participant or provider preference. Since all studies were unblinded and at high risk of performance and detection bias, it is unlikely that blinded comparisons would find a clinically important benefit.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effect of stabilization exercise combined with respiratory resistance and whole body vibration on patients with lumbar instability: A randomized controlled trial.
Lumbar stability exercise promotes deep muscle functions, and it is an effective intervention method for increasing proprioceptive sensation. This study aims to explore and compare the effects of lumbar stability exercise with respiratory resistance and whole body vibration on patients with lumbar instability. ⋯ Stabilization exercise program using respiratory resistance and whole-body vibration administered according to the purpose of intervention methods may be effective exercise programs for people with lumbar instability.

Case Reports
Iliopsoas hematoma secondary to small needle scalpel for the treatment of nonspecific low back pain: A case report.
Nonspecific low back pain (NSLBP) is one of the most common symptoms which can happen all ages and it accounts for the majority of low back pain (LBP). Current clinical studies have shown that rest, physical therapy, acupuncture (including small needle scalpel) and non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs are effective treatments for NSLBP. However, the safety of small needle scalpel for treatment of NSLBP was reported rarely. ⋯ Small needle scalpel is a form of acupuncture. In China, small needle scalpel therapy has been used to treat various kinds of chronic pain. Anticoagulation therapy is a risk for bleeding, and patients who used Clopidogrel prepare to adopting small needle scalpel needs to be very cautious.

Low back pain (LBP) follows different pain trajectories, and patients seem to recognize their trajectory. This allows self-reported visual pain trajectories (SRVTs) to support patient-provider communication. Pain trajectories appear stable over time for many patients, but the evidence is sparse. ⋯ The preference ORs indicated that transitions occurred mainly to similar SRVTs differing in only 1 subscale. Transitions to less or more intense SRVTs were associated with changes in clinical outcomes in the expected direction. Despite distinctly different SRVTs identified, individuals reported relatively stable LBP phenotypes but with potential for change.
