Association of low back and knee pain with falls in Japanese community-dwelling older adults: A 3-year prospective cohort study.
To examine whether the chronicity and intensity of low back pain (LBP) or knee pain (KP) was associated with the occurrence of falls among a community-dwelling older population. ⋯ LBP and KP chronicity, intensity and persistence of chronic pain were associated with a greater risk of falls in older adults. Chronic low back pain after lumbosacral fracture due to sagittal and frontal vertebral imbalance.
Over time, some patients with unilateral or bilateral lumbosacral injuries experience chronic low back pain. We studied the sagittal and frontal balance in a population with these injuries to determine whether mismatch in the pelvic and lumbar angles are associated with chronic low back pain. ⋯ IV.

Effect of transforaminal epidural polydeoxyribonucleotide injections on lumbosacral radiculopathy: A case report.
Transforaminal epidural glucocorticoids administration is widely performed for the management of lumbosacral radiculopathy. However, it may worsen the condition of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) was recently noted as a substitute for glucocorticoids. ⋯ This is the first successful report on epidural injection of PDRN.
