Observational Study
Analysis of the curative effect of percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture with intravertebral clefts.
Kummell's disease is a delayed vertebral collapse fracture caused by posttraumatic osteonecrosis. It is a special type of osteoporotic vertebral fracture in the elderly. This study compares and analyzes the difference in the curative effect of 2 kinds of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) in the presence of fracture or not in the vertebral body, and provides a clinical reference for the application of percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP). ⋯ No statistical difference was found in Cobb Angle before and after surgery (P > .05), as well as the correction rate of the injured vertebrae before and after surgery (P > .05). There was no statistical difference in the degree of recovery of the anterior, middle and posterior margins of the injured vertebrae after surgery (P > .05). PKP treatment led to better degree of pain relief in OVCF patients without intravertebral clefts, and less bone cement was injected into the surgery.

Effects of myofascial release on frequency of joint bleedings, joint status, and joint pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy: A randomized, single-blind clinical trial.
Chronic joint injury of the elbow joint is common in patients with hemophilia. Myofascial release is used for the management of pain and functionality in patients with chronic restrictions. ⋯ Myofascial release decreases frequency of elbow bleedings, and improved joint status and perception of elbow pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy. Myofascial release may be recommended to improve joint status and joint pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy.

Comparative StudyModified 2016 American College of Rheumatology Fibromyalgia Criteria, the Analgesic, Anesthetic, and Addiction Clinical Trial Translations Innovations Opportunities and Networks-American Pain Society Pain Taxonomy, and the Prevalence of Fibromyalgia.
To study the prevalence of fibromyalgia (FM) in the general population according to a 2016 modification of the American College of Rheumatology criteria (FM 2016) and the Analgesic, Anesthetic, and Addiction Clinical Trial Translations Innovations Opportunities and Networks-American Pain Society pain taxonomy criteria (AAPT), and to compare diagnostic and clinical variables between the criteria sets. ⋯ The prevalence of FM in the German general population is 73% greater using the AAPT criteria than the FM 2016 criteria. The AAPT criteria select individuals with less symptom severity and fewer pain sites. The FM 2016 criteria, but not the AAPT criteria, provide a general severity measure for FM.
