Cancer pain (CP) is one of the common complications of cancer. During the treatment, oral medication, radiotherapy and chemotherapy bring certain adverse reactions to patients with CP; a safe way to treat this disease is necessary. Acupuncture and related therapies for CP with few side effects have been gradually accepted. But at present the evidence is insufficient, the related research is not thorough enough. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and related therapies for CP. ⋯ INPLASY202040129.

Few studies have clarified the use of complementary therapies (CTs) in France. The main objective of this preliminary study was to evaluate knowledge of CTs in 4 representative groups of patients: patients suffering from cancer, patients presenting with a chronic noncancerous disease, chronic dialysis patients and nonchronic or cancerous patients needing surgery. A formalized questionnaire was designed by 2 psychologists, an oncologist and an anesthesiologist in charge of the Pain Clinic and Support Care Unit. ⋯ There were no differences between aware and unaware patients in gender (P = .27), age (P = .24), level of education (p = 0.24) or professional occupation (P = .06). Knowledge about CTs was significantly different among the different categories of patients (P = .03), with the only statistically significant difference between groups being between oncologic patients receiving ambulatory chemotherapy and patients presenting with a chronic noncancerous disease (P = .004). This preliminary study clearly highlights that patients and health caregivers are not aware of CTs and that there is a need for better communication about CTs.

Case Reports[Sudden exercise dyspnea in a young woman - an interdisciplinary case in the emergency room].
A 39-year-old woman with suddenly occurring exercise dyspnea is admitted under the suspicion of pulmonary embolism. In medical history, she mentions a recently completed fertility treatment. ⋯ OHSS is primarily a gynaecological condition, but physicians may encounter it with exercise dyspnea or abdominal pain as presenting symptoms. Symptoms can be treated well at an early stage, and severe courses can usually be prevented. In this case, clinical history and sonography could disprove the initially suspected diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.

Meta Analysis
Auricular acupuncture for migraine: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Migraines are caused by neurological and vascular dysfunction, with a side or both sides of the head pain recurrent attack, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, light, and sound allergy as the characteristics, is the clinical common disease, frequently occurring disease. The incidence of migraine is 8.4% to 28% worldwide (highest in Germany), and the lifetime incidence is about 14.0%. About 18.2% for women and 6.5% for men, About 23 percent of families have at least one migraine sufferer. It can occur at any age, and more than half of patients have headaches that interfere with work or school, while nearly a third may miss work or school because of the headache. Therefore, how to relief headache immediately and reduce the impact on life and work, becomes the basic clinical appeal of many patients. Analgesics are the main treatment for migraine in western medicine, many patients, who worried about the side effects of drugs, often take them only when the pain is unbearable, which can only treat the symptoms rather than the root causes. Auricular acupuncture as a form of acupuncture therapy which is proved to be effective in RCTs and very suitable for patients, has been used in patients who suffer from migraine for a long time, therefore a systematic review is necessary to provide available evidence for further study. ⋯ October 2, 2020 osf.io/q6arf. Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a sensory motor disorder. It mainly manifests as indescribable pain in the lower limbs at night or at rest, and the symptoms are reduced after activity or beating, which seriously affects the patients sleep. Nowadays, a large number of randomized controlled clinical studies have shown that Chinese medicine has the advantages of good curative effect and high safety in the treatment of RLS. However, due to the various treatment methods of Chinese medicine, its relative effectiveness and safety have not been verified. Therefore, this study will use a network meta-analysis method to verify the effectiveness and safety of different types of TCM therapies in the treatment of RLS. ⋯ Provide a basis for evidence-based medicine, and provide a basis for clinical researchers to choose more effective Chinese medicine treatment of RLS.
