Efficacy and safety of acupuncture for trigeminal neuralgia: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a disease accompanied by severe facial pain, which seriously affects the daily life of patients. Acupuncture is widely used by Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors to treat various painful diseases. Acupuncture combined with the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia can increase the analgesic effect and reduce side effects. However, there is still a lack of more quality multi-center clinical controlled trials and comprehensive meta-analysis, and a lack of more comprehensive and stronger evidence-based medical evidence. ⋯ The research has been registered and approved on the PROSPERO website. The registration number is CRD42019119606.

Non-specific chronic low back pain (LBP) is a debilitating disease that profoundly impacts patients' daily physical function and quality of life. Gua sha therapy, as an easy-to-use and noninvasive complementary modality, has been widely used clinically in patients with non-specific chronic LBP. The aim of this study is to test the potential benefits and harms of gua sha therapy on patients with non-specific chronic LBP. ⋯ This systematic review will provide more evidence regarding the clinical usage of gua sha therapy for non-specific chronic LBP.

ReviewEducation and training in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and pain medicine.
Effective and safe regional anaesthesia and pain medicine procedures require clinicians to learn and master complex theoretical knowledge and motor skills. This review aims to summarize articles relevant to education and training in these skill sets in the previous 2 years. ⋯ Research into education and training in regional anaesthesia covered multiple and diverse topics. Methodological limitations were noted in several articles, reflecting the difficulties in designing and conducting medical education studies. Nonetheless, the evidence-base continues to mature and innovations provide exciting future possibilities.

Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is one of the most common diseases in urology, which 50% of men are infected at some point in their lives. Type III CP/CPPS is the most complex and controversial of all types of prostatitis, the highest incidence rate, uncertain efficacy, the long-term treatment that affects the patient's psychopathic symptoms, increases the psychological burden of patients. Psychological intervention for patients with CP/CPPS, which is difficult to treat with drugs and physics, can effectively improve clinical efficacy and improve the psychological condition. The researchers found a high prevalence of psychosocial problems and catastrophic distress in CP/CPPS patients, such as serious mental disorders, especially depression, anxiety and stress, and the high incidence of pain-devastating illness. In this study, we will evaluate psychological interventions as an effective way to relieve chronic prostatitis. ⋯ INPLASY202080021.

Acupotomy for patients with tarsal tunnel syndrome: A protocol for systematic review and meta analysis.
Tarsal tunnel syndrome (TTS) is a painful condition of the ankle that affects patients' quality of life and ability to work. Multiple clinical studies of nerve decompression by acupotomy have been published in China, and the results are encouraging. However, the efficacy and security of this treatment have not been evaluated scientifically and systematically. The purpose of this systematic review protocol is to evaluate the efficacy and security of acupotomy treatment in patients with TTS, which will be helpful to clinical acupotomy doctors. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.
