AbstractMidgut malrotation with volvulus is one of the true surgical emergencies of childhood. Almost all of the studies on anomalies of the midgut rotation and fixation in the literature and related sections in textbooks were designed according to Dott's classification. Focusing only on common rotation anomalies has led to the exclusion and negligence of other rare variants. Isolated pure duodenal non-rotation is such a variant. Herein, we report a case of an unusual variant of isolated pure duodenal non-rotation which presented with signs of midgut volvulus that was successfully treated. Key Words: Newborn, Malrotation, Non-rotation, Isolated duodenal non-rotation, Midgut volvulus.
