Robot-assisted Percutaneous Transfacet Screw Fixation Supplementing Oblique Lateral Interbody Fusion Procedure: Accuracy and Safety Evaluation of This Novel Minimally Invasive Technique.
Percutaneous transfacet screw fixation (pTSF) is a minimally invasive posterior fixation technique supplementing oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) for lumbar spinal disorders. Accurate screw insertion is difficult to achieve and technically demanding under 2-D fluoroscopy. Recently developed robot-assisted spinal surgery demonstrated a high level of accuracy of pedicle screw insertion and a low complication rate. No published study has reported this combination technique. The aim of our study was to evaluate the accuracy and safety properties of the combination of both minimally invasive techniques: robot-assisted pTSF supplementing the OLIF procedure. ⋯ Our preliminary study of robot-assisted pTSF supplementing the OLIF procedure showed a high level of accuracy for screw insertion and this minimally invasive combination technique was found to be a feasible and safe procedure.

Robot-assisted Minimally-invasive Internal Fixation of Pelvic Ring Injuries: A Single-center Experience.
To investigate the indications, surgical strategy and techniques, safety, and efficacy of robot-assisted minimally-invasive internal fixation of pelvic ring injuries. ⋯ Robot-assisted surgery is accurate and minimally invasive, with a high success rate for one-time screw placement and satisfactory clinical results. The indications and surgical strategy should be rigorously selected, the level of surgical techniques mastered, and the operating procedures standardized, all of which may help to prevent surgical complications. Robot-assisted surgery provides a novel modality for the minimally-invasive treatment of pelvic ring injuries.

V-Y Tendon Plasty for Reconstruction of Chronic Achilles Tendon Rupture: A Medium-term and Long-term Follow-up.
To evaluate the surgical results of V-Y tendon plasty in the treatment of chronic Achilles tendon rupture during medium and long-term follow-up. ⋯ V-Y tendon plasty can be used in most cases of chronic Achilles tendon rupture. It yields satisfactory functional results and low complication rates. The advantage of this procedure is that it is an easy and economic method without the need for expensive synthetic implants. V-Y tendon plasty should be considered an acceptable first-choice treatment.

External Fixator-assisted Ulnar Osteotomy: A Novel Technique to Treat Missed Monteggia Fracture in Children.
The treatment of missed Monteggia fracture remains a challenge, despite the various surgical methods described. The purpose of this study was to explore a new surgical technique utilizing external fixator-assisted ulnar osteotomy and to assess the surgical results in a case series. ⋯ External fixator-assisted ulnar osteotomy offers substantial flexibility for achieving the optimal positioning of the transected ulna to reduce the radial head prior to the final ulnar osteotomy fixation with a plate, thereby facilitating an effective operative performance. Our procedure is a safe and effective method to treat missed pediatric Monteggia fractures.

Medial Open-wedge Osteotomy with Double-plate Fixation for Varus Malunion of the Distal Femur.
To present our clinical experience of treating varus malunion of the distal femur through a medial open-wedge osteotomy with double-plate fixation. ⋯ Medial open-wedge osteotomy can adequately correct the posttraumatic varus malunion of the distal femur. With fixation of the double plate, non-displaced bone healing and good functional outcome are expected.
