Single Ilioinguinal Approach to Treat Complex Acetabular Fractures with Quadrilateral Plate Involvement: Outcomes Using a Novel Dynamic Anterior Plate-Screw System.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel fixation technique referred to as the dynamic anterior plate-screw system for quadrilateral plate (DAPSQ) for complex acetabular fractures with quadrilateral plate involvement through the single ilioinguinal approach. ⋯ The use of DAPSQ with quadrilateral screws is an effective and safe choice for complex acetabular fractures with quadrilateral plate involvement through the single ilioinguinal approach.

Relationship Between Time to Surgical Debridement and the Incidence of Infection in Patients with Open Tibial Fractures.
To analyze the relationship between the length from injury to first debridement (LFITFD) of open tibial fractures and perioperative infection, and explore independent risk factors related to infection. ⋯ The incidence of perioperative infection in patients with open tibial fractures has little to do with the time of the first debridement, which is mainly related to the level of the fracture's Gustilo-Anderson classification. At the same time, smoking is prohibited before the operation, the patient's blood glucose is managed, and the debridement operation time is minimized conducive to reducing the incidence of infection.

Case ReportsTreatment of Osteochondral Fracture of the Lateral Femoral Condyle with TWINFIX Ti Suture Anchor "X"-Shaped Internal Fixation under Arthroscopy: A Surgical Technique and Three Cases Report.
Osteochondral fracture of the lateral femoral condyle is a rare intra-articular injury with or without patellar dislocation. This kind of disease is commonly seen in the knee joint sprain during strenuous activity. At present, open reduction is often used to treat osteochondral fractures. ⋯ After operation, the fracture of femoral condyle healed well and the function of knee joint recovered gradually. Suture anchor system is mostly used to repair rotator cuff and patellar tendon. This is the first case to apply the suture anchor system to the reduction and fixation of fracture.

Comparative StudyComparison of a Novel Tension Band and Patellotibial Tubercle Cerclage in the Treatment of Comminuted Fractures of Inferior Pole of the Patella.
To assess the therapeutic effect of a novel tension band using 3.0 mm cannulated screw combined with a titanium cable and specific shims comparatively with patellotibial tubercle cerclage in comminuted fractures of the inferior pole of the patella. ⋯ Patients with comminuted fractures of the inferior pole of the patella treated with a novel tension band experienced a longer operation time, but earlier partial-weight-bearing and fracture-healed time, better clinical outcomes at 12-month follow-up, and less complications. It should be considered an alternative therapy for the treatment of distal pole patellar fractures.

Bifocal or Trifocal (Double-Level) Bone Transport Using Unilateral Rail System in the Treatment of Large Tibial Defects Caused by Infection: A Retrospective Study.
The aim of this study is to assess the clinical results of bifocal or trifocal bone transport using unilateral rail system in the treatment of large tibial defects caused by infection. ⋯ Treatment of large tibial defects caused by infection with trifocal bone transport using unilateral rail system could significantly improve postoperative functional recovery and reduce duration of regenerate consolidation and docking union. The present study provides novel insight for the treatment of large tibial defects caused by infection.
