Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) are common throughout the world, which seriously affects the patient's work and life. Relevant researches suggested that sclerosing foam (SF) has potential benefits for VLUs. However, there is no consistent conclusion. The purpose of our study is to assess whether SF is effective and safe for VLUs. ⋯ Our review will provide useful information to judge whether Sclerosing Foam is an effective and safe intervention for patients with venous leg ulcers.

As one of the common cardiovascular diseases, acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is characterized by a high mortality rate, frequent complications, and a serious threat to human health and quality of life. Traditional Chinese medicine injection (TCMI) has been used clinically to treat AMI; however, there is no uniform standard for clinical treatment of AMI. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of different TCMI by using systematic review and network meta-analysis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/FYGBT.

Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy vs transcatheter arterial embolization for patients with huge unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.
For the treatment of huge unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) or transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) generally had poor effects and high complication rates. Our previous study found that Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) is a safe procedure and provides better survival than symptomatic treatment for the patients with huge unresectable HCC. The aim of the study is to compare the effect of HAIC vs TAE in patients with huge unresectable HCC. ⋯ Cox-regression multivariate analysis revealed that HAIC is the significant factor associated with overall survival (relative risk: 0.461, 95% confidence interval: 0.218-0.852, P = .027). No patients died of the complications of HAIC but three patients (12%) died of the complications of TAE. In conclusion, HAIC is a safe procedure and provides better survival than TAE for patients with huge unresectable HCCs.

This study aimed to evaluate the onset characteristics of patients with uremia undergoing maintenance hemodialysis complicated with COVID-19, so as to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment.26 cases were confirmed cases of COVID-19. Confirmed patients with COVID-19 undergoing maintenance hemodialysis in the blood purification center were recruited. The general data of patients, including age, sex, duration of dialysis, and basic diseases, were analyzed. ⋯ With poor cardiac function. They were prone to respiratory failure complicated with heart failure. According to the onset characteristics of this population, early diagnosis and treatment could help reduce the risk of developing a critical illness and control the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.
