This study aimed to explore the experiences of barriers and facilitators to the implementation of narrative nursing by junior nurses. Participants were recruited using purposive sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted from October 2023 to February 2024. ⋯ Relevant barriers include lack of practical skills related to narrative nursing, neglect of the concept of humanistic care, negative events, high workload for junior nurses, restricted implementation environment. The facilitators contain patients' and family members' trust, training related to knowledge and skills, as well as harmonious and cooperative working atmosphere. There is still room for improvement in the implementation of narrative nursing for junior nurses, and the systematic training of narrative nursing knowledge and skills should be enhanced; the medical humanistic environment should be optimized; and the psychological resilience of junior nurses should be improved, so as to encourage them to actively implement narrative nursing at the early stage of their careers, and to deepen the high-quality development of nursing humanism.

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is a prevalent gynecological malignancy that poses a significant threat to women's health worldwide. However, its pathogenesis and underlying mechanisms remains unclear. In this study, expression quantitative trait loci data, Mendelian randomization analysis, and differential expression analysis were performed to identify potential targets. ⋯ It was found to be significantly downregulated in EC samples, and its expression was positively correlated with the stage and grade of EC patients. In vitro experiments showed that overexpression of RNF144A significantly promoted cell growth and migration in EC cells. In conclusion, this study provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying EC progression and identifies preliminary candidate biomarkers for the development of EC treatment strategies.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a study that examines the prognostic value of lactate metabolism genes in tumor cells, which are associated with clinical prognosis. We analyzed the expression and clinical data for LUAD from The Cancer Genome Atlas database, using the GSE68465 dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus and the MSigDB database. LASSO Cox regression and stepwise Cox regression were used to identify the optimal lactate metabolism gene signature. ⋯ High-risk samples had high tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion (TIDE) scores and low cytolytic activity (CYT) scores, indicating a poor response to ICB therapy. Similarly, most immune checkpoint molecules, immune inhibitors/stimulators, and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules were highly expressed in the high-risk group. The 8-lactate metabolism gene-based prognostic model predicts patient survival, immune infiltration, and ICB response in patients with LUAD, driving the development of therapeutic strategies to target lactate metabolism.

Standardized construction of China Chest Pain Center improves outcomes in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). A total 778 patients with a definite diagnosis of STEMI who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in our hospital from March 2017 to November 2022 were selected. Among them, 194 patients admitted from March 2017 to December 2019 were included as the pre-continuous improvement period (control group), and 584 patients admitted from January 2020 to November 2022 were included as the continuous improvement period (study group). ⋯ The mortality rate of STEMI patients in continuous improvement period was 3.42%, lower than 4.64% in the pre-continuous improvement period with no statistical difference (P = .439). Age, previous history of coronary artery disease, and high Killip class (Killip III-IV) were derived as independent risk factors for death by logistic regression analysis (OR>1, P < .05). Continuous improvement of the chest pain center can effectively shorten the treatment time of STEMI patients, improve the reperfusion rate, and improve myocardial blood supply by restoring TIMI blood flow as early as possible.

Development of biomarker signatures associated with anoikis to predict prognosis in patients with esophageal cancer: An observational study.
Anoikis, a form of programmed cell death linked to cancer, has garnered significant research attention. Esophageal cancer (ESCA) ranks among the most prevalent malignant tumors and represents a major global health concern. To ascertain whether anoikis-related genes (ARGs) can accurately predict ESCA prognosis, we evaluated the predictive value and molecular mechanisms of ARGs in ESCA and constructed an optimal model for prognostic prediction. ⋯ GSEA revealed that the high-risk cohort was connected to cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, graft-versus-host disease, and hematopoietic cell lineage, whereas the low-risk cohort was related to arachidonic acid metabolism, drug metabolism via cytochrome P450 and fatty acid metabolism. Drug sensitivity tests showed that 16 drugs were positively correlated, and 3 drugs were negatively correlated with ARG characteristic scores. Our study developed 5 ARG signatures as biomarkers for patients with ESCA, providing an important reference for the individualized treatment of this disease.
