The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index is a crucial marker of insulin resistance, as evidenced by numerous studies related to metabolic diseases. This bibliometric analysis investigates research trends associated with the TyG index over the past 24 years. We collected data on TyG index publications from January 1, 2000, to January 7, 2024, using the Web of Science database. ⋯ Key emerging research directions include the role of the TyG index as a representative marker for insulin resistance, particularly concerning insulin sensitivity; its association with body mass index and hyperuricemia; and its diagnostic and prognostic value in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and cardiovascular conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, carotid plaque, and hypertension. Current trends favor cohort studies predominantly involving adult populations. Overall, China leads TyG index research, focusing on its connections to insulin sensitivity, body mass index, and hyperuricemia, while the index's diagnostic and prognostic significance for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and cardiovascular diseases represents an expanding research frontier.

Expression and prongostic impact of galectin-7 in human lung cancer.
Malignant tumors of the lung are the leading cancers worldwide. Prognostic biomarkers continue to be investigated for the detection and stratification of lung cancer for clinical use. In breast cancer cells and in lymphomas, the overexpression of galectin-7 led to increased metastasis. ⋯ No significant correlation was found in patients with squamous cell lung carcinoma. Within the adenocarcinoma and squamous cell lung carcinoma subgroups, there were statistically significant correlations between the expression of galectin-7 and some clinicopathologic features of the patients. In our study, we were able to show that galectin-7 could serve as a new prognostic biomarker and is also a potential new drug target in non-small cell lung cancer.

This study aimed to explore the experiences of barriers and facilitators to the implementation of narrative nursing by junior nurses. Participants were recruited using purposive sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted from October 2023 to February 2024. ⋯ Relevant barriers include lack of practical skills related to narrative nursing, neglect of the concept of humanistic care, negative events, high workload for junior nurses, restricted implementation environment. The facilitators contain patients' and family members' trust, training related to knowledge and skills, as well as harmonious and cooperative working atmosphere. There is still room for improvement in the implementation of narrative nursing for junior nurses, and the systematic training of narrative nursing knowledge and skills should be enhanced; the medical humanistic environment should be optimized; and the psychological resilience of junior nurses should be improved, so as to encourage them to actively implement narrative nursing at the early stage of their careers, and to deepen the high-quality development of nursing humanism.

The aim of this study was to explore the molecular mechanism of quercetin in the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage. ⋯ Quercetin may treat intracerebral hemorrhage through multi-target-multi-pathway mechanisms, including regulating apoptosis, inhibiting inflammatory response, inhibiting iron death, and regulating angiogenesis, which can help alleviate nerve damage caused by intracerebral hemorrhage.

Effects of scapular motion control training on treatment of patients with scapular fractures: An observational study.
To explore the effect of scapula motion control training on the rehabilitation effect of patients with scapular fracture. According to the random number table method, 61 patients were evenly divided into observation group 30 cases and control group 31 cases. The control group received routine postoperative functional exercise, and the observation group received functional exercise by adding scapula motion control training to the routine postoperative functional exercise. ⋯ After 4 and 12 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the daily activities, range of shoulder movements, and total scores of the observation group increased, and there were no significant differences in pain and strength tests. After 12 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the daily activity, range of shoulder movements, and total score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group. Scapular motion control training can effectively improve the treatment of patients with scapular fractures and has clinical application value.
