Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is a prevalent gynecological malignancy that poses a significant threat to women's health worldwide. However, its pathogenesis and underlying mechanisms remains unclear. In this study, expression quantitative trait loci data, Mendelian randomization analysis, and differential expression analysis were performed to identify potential targets. ⋯ It was found to be significantly downregulated in EC samples, and its expression was positively correlated with the stage and grade of EC patients. In vitro experiments showed that overexpression of RNF144A significantly promoted cell growth and migration in EC cells. In conclusion, this study provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying EC progression and identifies preliminary candidate biomarkers for the development of EC treatment strategies.

Our study aimed to evaluate and compare the changes in ulnar nerve tension and strain at different elbow positions radiologically and mechanically before and after applying the medial K-wire on the supracondylar humerus fracture cadaver model. We used ten fresh frozen cadaver upper extremity specimens to measure strain and tension on the ulnar nerve in 3 different elbow positions: elbow full extension, elbow flexion-forearm supination, and elbow flexion-forearm pronation. We employed Shear wave elastography (Siemens Acuson S3000 USG, 9L4 linear probe) and a microstrain gauge (Microstrain, Inc., Burlington) to obtain our measurements. ⋯ Our findings suggest that the long arm splint applied in elbow 90° flexion and forearm pronation position should not be preferred in the postoperative period. The maximum strain values obtained in the elbow full extension were lower, suggesting that it would be appropriate to stabilize the elbow in the extension position as much as possible postoperatively. Level of evidence: Level V.

Standardized construction of China Chest Pain Center improves outcomes in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). A total 778 patients with a definite diagnosis of STEMI who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in our hospital from March 2017 to November 2022 were selected. Among them, 194 patients admitted from March 2017 to December 2019 were included as the pre-continuous improvement period (control group), and 584 patients admitted from January 2020 to November 2022 were included as the continuous improvement period (study group). ⋯ The mortality rate of STEMI patients in continuous improvement period was 3.42%, lower than 4.64% in the pre-continuous improvement period with no statistical difference (P = .439). Age, previous history of coronary artery disease, and high Killip class (Killip III-IV) were derived as independent risk factors for death by logistic regression analysis (OR>1, P < .05). Continuous improvement of the chest pain center can effectively shorten the treatment time of STEMI patients, improve the reperfusion rate, and improve myocardial blood supply by restoring TIMI blood flow as early as possible.

Association of hepatitis B virus and thyroid hormones during pregnancy.
This study aims to evaluate the correlation between serum thyroid hormone levels and hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA and HBV genotypes in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B. A total of 96 pregnant women with chronic HBV-infected pregnant women between January 2020 and December 2022 were selected as the observational study subjects. About 50 HBV-uninfected pregnant women during the same period were selected as the control group. ⋯ However, there was no statistical difference in thyroid hormone levels between different HBV genotypes (P > .05). The thyroid hormone levels will change in pregnant women infected with hepatitis B virus, and there is a certain correlation between HBV-DNA load and thyroid hormone levels. Therefore, timely monitoring of thyroid hormones and HBV-DNA load can provide early prevention and treatment for HBV infection in pregnant women, ensuring the health of pregnant women and fetuses.

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is a malignant infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV gradually destroys the body's immune system and weakens the body's ability to resist diseases. People living with HIV may have a higher incidence of coronary heart disease than people without HIV. ⋯ The article obtained the hotspots and trends and provided references for subsequent research. Based on the keyword citation burst detection analysis, we speculated that heart failure, risk, subclinical atherosclerosis, infection, and association were the research hotspots in recent years, which had a certain predictive effect on the future research direction.
