The rising number of immunocompromised people has increased concerns about fungal infections as a severe public health issue. Invasive pulmonary fungal infections (IPFIs) are prevalent and often fatal, particularly for those with weakened immune systems. Understanding IPFIs is crucial. ⋯ High-frequency terms include "fungal infection," "invasive," "diagnosis," and "epidemiology." Keyword and trend analysis identified "influenza," "COVID-19," "invasive pulmonary aspergillosis," and "metagenomic next-generation sequencing" as emerging research areas. Over the last 2 decades, research on IPFI has surged, with topics becoming more profound. These insights offer key guidance on current trends, gaps, and the trajectory of IPFI studies.

Female and diabetes are risk factors for alpha-fetoprotein and protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II negative in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common type of tumor with a high incidence. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II (PIVKA-II or des-gamma-carboxy prothrombin) are proven effective biomarkers for HCC. Combining them can enhance detection rates. ⋯ The prediction model had an area under curve of 0.832 (P < .001, 95%CI = 0.786-0.877), with a sensitivity of 81.2% and specificity of 75.5% in all HCC patients. Female diabetic patients with levels closer to normal for glutamate transpeptidase and total bilirubin are more likely to develop AFP and PIVKA-II-negative HCC. Imaging is crucial for screening liver cancer in these patients.

Gout, a metabolic disorder, is increasingly being linked to immune cells. However, the causal relationships between these factors remain unclear. Our study aimed to elucidate the causal relationship between immune cells and gout. ⋯ Subsequently, we did not observe heterogeneity and horizontal pleiotropy stable in these data through comprehensive sensitivity analyses. Furthermore, we identified some positive results in reverse MR analysis, but after false discovery rate correction (PFDR <0.20), no significant results were detected. Our study revealed causal relationships between immune cells and gout, providing novel insights into the prevention and treatment of gout.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide because of its high morbidity and mortality. Traditional Chinese Medicine compounds play a crucial role in preventing cardiovascular diseases. Danggui Sini Decoction (DSD) is widely used clinically for cardiovascular diseases. ⋯ Gene ontology and Kyoto encyclopedia of gene and genome analyses revealed that DSD treatment of MI mainly involves the positive regulation of the ERK1 and ERK2 cascades, positive regulation of cell proliferation, inflammatory responses, aging, and the MAPK cascade, along with other biological processes. The molecular docking results indicate that DSD drugs may interact with AKT1, EGFR, TP53, and TNF through formononetin, isorhamnetin, β-Sitosterol, and kaempferol, potentially contributing to the treatment of MI. By utilizing a multi-component, multi-pathway, and multi-target mode of action, DSD may have the potential to prevent MI.
