Although several studies have discussed the relationships among digital health literacy, health, and exercise behavior, few have integrated these 3 factors into a single model. This study aims to address this research gap. This article aims to analyze the impact of digital health literacy on the health of older adults, as well as the mediating mechanisms related to exercise frequency and duration. ⋯ Digital health literacy has a significant impact on the health of older adults. The duration and frequency of exercise play a partial mediating role between older adults' digital health literacy and their physical health status. Digital health literacy can encourage older adults to increase the duration and frequency of exercise, which, in turn, promotes their physical health.

As an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, vitamin K has the potential to reduce telomere attrition. However, the correlation between dietary vitamin K and telomere length (TL) has not been reported. We aimed to investigate the association between these 2 variables. ⋯ Subgroup analyses suggested that this association persisted in populations stratified by gender, age, diabetes, cardiovascular disease (CVD), body mass index and total energy intake (P for interaction > .05). A linear relationship between dietary vitamin K intake and TL was observed in restricted cubic splines (P for nonlinear = .554). In conclusion, our findings suggest that dietary vitamin K intake is positively associated with TL, providing recent evidence to guide the management of healthy diets.

Observational studies have reported associations between atopic diseases, including allergic rhinitis (AR), asthma, atopic dermatitis (AD), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but the causal relationship remains unknown. We utilized pooled data from genome-wide association studies, qualified instrumental variables were screened according to the 3 hypotheses of MR, and bidirectional causality between atopic diseases and IBD was assessed using 2-sample Mendelian randomization analysis (2SMR). ⋯ This study shows that atopic diseases of AR and asthma are causally related to IBD and its subtypes, and AD is causally related to IBD (which may be attributed to CD). Of the reverse causality, only CD was causally related to AR.

The study was outlined to develop and approve a nomogram and chance stratification demonstrate for foreseeing overall survival of Chinese patients with at first metastatic small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). We collected information from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database approximately Chinese SCLC patients with at first distant metastases between 2010 and 2015. Patients with incomplete data about the follow-up time or clinicopathological information were excluded. ⋯ Calibration curves and survival predictions also showed strong accuracy and consistency in the external validation cohort. The nomogram provided a clear prognostic superiority over the traditional Tumor Node Metastasis system. It could help clinicians make individual risk predictions for initially metastatic Chinese SCLC cancer patients and give necessary treatment recommendations.

A low Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) value, lymphovascular invasion (LVI), and perineural invasion (PeNI) have been identified as indicators of poor prognosis for many malignancies. We aimed to evaluate the relationship between PNI and LVI/PeNI, their prognostic significance, and their effect on overall survival in gastric cancer patients who underwent curative gastrectomy. A cutoff value of 39.8 was taken for the PNI, and PNI < 39.8 was defined as moderate to severe malnutrition. ⋯ A low PNI score is an inherently poor prognostic factor. In patients with a high PNI score, the presence of positive LVI and PeNI negatively impacts survival. We found that in patients with a low PNI, the rates of PeNI and LVI are higher compared to those with a high PNI, and this significantly affects mortality.
