To systematically present an overview of randomized controlled trials on transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) using bibliometric methods, and describe the role and mechanisms of TEAS in most prevalent diseases. Relevant literature was searched in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, and Web of Science. The literature was imported and screened into NoteExpress, screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and analyzed using Excel and CiteSpace 6.3R1 software. ⋯ The concept of accelerated rehabilitation is gradually being applied to TEAS, representing an emerging trend for future development. Clinical research on TEAS is rapidly developing, with a focus on applications in cancer and perioperative care. Future research should expand collaboration and conduct high-level clinical and mechanistic studies, which will contribute to the development of standardized protocols and clinical practice.

This study provides an in-depth perspective of moxibustion as a treatment option for urinary incontinence (UI), focusing on its clinical efficacy, underlying mechanisms, and potential integration into standard care practices. Moxibustion, rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, involves the targeted application of heat from burning moxa at specific acupoints. Analyzing data from randomized controlled trials and retrospective studies, the study suggests that moxibustion effectively reduces UI symptoms and improves quality of life with minimal adverse effects. ⋯ Future research should aim to address these gaps by conducting larger, standardized multicenter trials to provide more definitive evidence of moxibustion's effectiveness. Additionally, integrating moxibustion into comprehensive treatment strategies for UI and promoting its inclusion in clinical guidelines could enhance its acceptance and application in modern medical practice. This study underscores the potential of moxibustion as a non-alternative in the management of UI, warranting further exploration and validation in clinical settings.

Primary bilateral macronodular adrenal hyperplasia: A rare case report of Cushing syndrome and review of literature.
Primary bilateral macronodular adrenal hyperplasia (PBMAH) is a rare cause of ACTH-independent Cushing syndrome (CS), accounting for <2% of CS cases. Diagnosing PBMAH can be difficult and challenging for clinicians. ⋯ This patient is a case of PBMAH who presented with fever and CS symptoms and underwent unilateral adrenalectomy. Interestingly, she had suppressed cortisol levels for at least 1 year after the unilateral adrenalectomy. Therefore, we suggest further research on the most effective treatment strategies for PBMAH.

Pregnancy-associated triple-negative breast cancer: A case report and literature review.
The incidence of pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) is relatively low, but it has been increasing in recent years. The onset of PABC causes serious harm to the fetus and the mother due to the unique physiological characteristics of pregnancy, which poses a particular challenge to clinicians. This article reports a case of pregnancy-associated triple-negative breast cancer and describes the patient characteristics and systematic treatment of this type of breast cancer. ⋯ Clinicians need more research into the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of PABC. Improving the rate of early diagnosis and using standardized and individualized comprehensive treatment plans will minimize fetal damage and improve survival and quality of life for patients.

Skin metastasis of BRCA mutated prostate cancer: A case report and a brief review of literature.
Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer has a poor prognosis especially when harboring DNA damage repair gene mutations, nevertheless, in the case of pathogenic BRCA gene mutations, PARPi demonstrated a survival benefit and is a validated treatment. Nowadays, there is no data regarding unusual metastases after these drugs. Cutaneous metastases appear rarely in prostate cancer and were associated with a worse prognosis. Moreover, there are no consolidated data concerning skin tropism of prostate cancer cells, neither in the case of BRCA-associated cancers. ⋯ A literature review of all reported cases of cutaneous metastasis in prostate cancer was conducted to shed light on the incidence, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of this entity. We also reviewed published cases of skin metastasis in BRCA-associated cancers with an effort to correlate skin involvement with PARPi treatment, BRCAness status, and prognosis.
